README before buying season pass!

The season pass gives you 5 of the dlc for the price you would normally pay for 4, therefore I would STRONGLY advise you all to wait till the first dlc drop before giving them any money and see if the dlc is actually any good.

It only takes one bad dlc for it to be better to buy just 4 of the dlc's and pay out in smaller amounts across the year instead of giving them all your cash up front in hope they produce good dlc.

Time and time again I've seen people pay for these passes on games and in the end half of the dlc is forgettable or not fun to play, so at least wait till the first dlc drops and if its bad dont spend out and just buy the dlc's that are actually good, saves you all a fortune!

These season passes are pay before you play, ask anyone in halo 4 if they wished they didn't buy the season pass and just bought one or none of the dlc. Rather than give up all our cash early regardless of how good the dlc is, let them produce something worthy of our money.

I agree. I wish I hadn't bought the season pass for black ops 2. Only thing holding me back from trading it in for something else.

Hopefully it will be like the Gears Of War 3 season pass and go on sale in a couple of months :)

If they sort out the laggy Arkfalls i will gladly hand over my money as i am loving the game so far :)

It's advice only, out of everyone I've spoken too in games with season passes that give such a little discount if you pay everything up front before even knowing the dlc. 9 out of 10 people always regret it and say they would of saved money buying just the few bits of dlc that were good instead of assuming they will all be amaizing and hand over cash blindly "in good faith".

It's a false sales tactic attitude we have be moulded into thinking is a good thing, rather than them producing dlc and we go yay it's great and buy it.

It forces them to actually produce each bit of dlc that's equally worth the money each time, instead of the "we got all your moneys now" attitude that promotes lazy developer content.

Halo 4, BO2... The list goes on.

If you go out and buy the season pass and they make 4 epic dlc's and one bad, the average joe who just bought the 4 epic dlc's would be of spent the same amount. That's off gambling on only one dlc bad...

20% discount on 5 dlc's is not a good enough gamble in my eyes.

well first you need to understand 1 thing that has been mentioned by sledgehammer70 and that thing is that you will be able to play the dlc if you buy it or not the reason you buy it is to use the items you get out of said dlc and from what i understand is 1 of the season 1 dlc is going to be a new playable race

So give us all your money now and we pinky sware we will give you good dlc that each dlc is great and not a waste of money in the long term... To show how much we honour all your money up front we will give you a new limited edition super special player skin that we are calling a "new race" that's just really a skin coz player races don't mean anything more in the game.

I decided I'd get it because I like the game, and if nothing else just want to support Trion in making it better. So even if the DLC is bad I'll still feel good about my purchase.

But, here's to hoping Votan is the new race anyway :P

Yeah, I'm gonna wait on the season pass. For all we know they'll do the Gears 3 thing and split the DLC. Half will be co-op and campaign stuff, which is all I'm interested in and half will be PvP maps which I don't care about. I don't wanna spend $40 and only use $20 of it.

I was in a major arkfall event yesterday and the lag was huge. It would take at least 20 secs to swap weapons and another 20 just to reload. No bueno!

i feel sorry for you if all you took from my post is that there is a new playable race in the dlc you get to try the dlc content for free just not use items you get out of them till you buy said dlc

I have never and will never buy a season pass to any game. Most times I lose interest in games long befor season passes are fulfilled

This is an MMO, not call of duty (which ****in sucks) DLC for MMO's is always heafty. Quit trying to get all into peoples heads. It's common sense Halo 4 DLC would all be maps since thats all thats EVER been released for halo; maps. If you were pissed about that it's your fault for being so stupid. They've already said that the content is going to come with new areas, races, vehicles, weapons, instances, etc. Sooooooo wtf is there to complain about? All you're doing it trying to draw attention to yourself by knocking Trion's season pass (based on season passes from FPS's that were all maps)

Holy shtako, the amount of stupidity on these forums is completely and utterly baffling.
