Dev responce would be appreciated! So I just bought the game....
and I was informed by an email from an other user in the past who had created a thread on the returns and orderings of the UE (Ultimate edition) for defiance, and how it will affect returning a SE for when the UE releases. We were told that returning it in it's original condition which we were hinted at that you could have opened and played it and still return is as long as it's pretty perfect in condition is acceptable....

But I have serious doubts as a lot of us have, or just me. I looked at there policy for returning and I copied this from there site...

I have just opened and inserted my game and am about to do all the linking rubbish, but I have an Ultimate edition pre-ordered also and when It dispatches I hope to return my standard to amazon....but look what is say's up there. Well what's the point in returning a new and unopened game....why would anyone return the item then? you would have to have opened it and played it for there to be any issues to reason the product good enough for return....Or in this case, had played the game but want to return it because it wasn't what they wanted in the first place, or they didn't like it etc. Also If I use the code here to redeem my stuff is it unusable again to link anyone else am I right? So Should I not use it and wait until my UE arrives to get my pre-order bonuses and training gear???

Just to clarify again I have the UE pre-ordered since the 27th and had to order a SE copy so I could play it on the day, it has just arrived today as I was late ordering for it to be an on release delivery (Annoyingly) so when the UE dispatches I will return my SE for a full refund and stick with my UE if this is allowed anyone know for certain, and are the codes a one off?

I just need to know If I can still return the game, and If the code at the back of the manual stick works after I use it so it doesn't hamper the possibility of non return. I don't want to pay over a £100 with an extra game I don't need, this is really important and needs to be cleared up for us all.

In North America once you open a game it's not returnable, unless defective, in which case yo can only exchange it.

Some places like GameStop make exceptions on a case by case basis, but most retailers won't.

I would use the chat-function on the Trion support page ;) faster then waiting for a response via the forum.

Or call Amazon, since Trion has nothing to do with retailer returns.

I dunno who posted a reply from amazn but they said you can get a standard play it and return for when the UE releases....But now it seems the opposite, and where is this chat function?

So you can buy a game, open it, use the code, then send it back because you were just borrowing it until the real game came? What does Amazon do with a useless box?

Call Amazon, trion can't do the return, they can .

I never said that....they did. Also no I will not use the code the only difference to them is it doesn't have the fancy plastic covering

If you used the Pre order code on the manual and you opened the game you most likely cannot return it. You would need to ask Amazon this question not Trion.

In most cases I saw chat logs with Amazon reps stating you could return the standard editions however I don't know if that is binding.
