Honestly just because I or anyone can cheat on their taxes, doesn't mean its ok or a cool thing to do.

Hardly an appropriate comparison.

Your attitude is more like this:

You see a person helping someone across the street but they are too slow and the light changes. You gun it and run them down cuz your light is now green. Cuz they were cheating by crossing against the light.

I would wait until they finished crossing so I didn't hit them...

If PvP didn't have so many issues I would say it's cheap as well. The concept for the pursuits is you're supposed to earn them through genuine competitive play. Notwithstanding that there are so many issues it is still possible to get almost all of the pursuits done simply playing the maps and Shadow Wars normally. I've gotten half of them done in less than a months play and I don't even like PvP.

It's also a bit unfair to anyone else on your team who isn't a participating clan member because you're not working with them as a team to win the map which can also result in them getting more deaths and fewer kills and assists than they would if you were actually working with them.

This is actually much easier to do now because of players scaling and vehicles not scaling. As I mentioned in my thread in the PvP forum it's getting turret kills that's problematic now.

It's usually 2 people on opposite teams doing this. While I would rather they play and help both teams are down a person so it evens out.

Deunan its always good to see an honest respectable player speak the truth about an exploit while pointing out the hows and whys of it not being such a good thing to do.

Keep in mind I said "if PvP didn't have so many issues". I can't really fault a player for wanting to get through their PvP pursuits as fast as possible in a game where PvP mechanics are as broken as they are in this game, even if its through staged killings. The devs are as much if not more to blame as the players for creating a situation that takes away a lot of incentive to just engage in actual PvP to get pursuits.

A perfect example is the failure to implement scaling for vehicles in PvP. I've pretty much resigned myself to not getting sufficient turret kills to fulfill the Arkfalls and Uplinks pursuits because short of staged turret kills, it's not likely to happen. That means no Climbing the Ranks of Echelon III or IV for me either.

I can live with that but a player who wants to cap their EGO rating doesn't really have much choice but to do staged turret kills if they need those pursuits unless and until the Defiance team implements vehicle scaling in PvP. Given they haven't even added shimmer to cloaks months after saying they would do so, I'm not holding my breath on that one.
