    GameStop preorder information?
I preordered the game for Xbox 360 and on the recept I did not receive any information about the beta. "I also work at GameStop and the manager didn't know what to tell me". So I canceled the preorder and waited. My friend got invited to the stress test and said the game looked and felt great so I decided to give it another try and preordered the game for Xbox and PC this time and I got a code?!? So I guess my question is. Will I be accepted to the beta because I preordered the game? It is advertised on the cases at the store that you do. Sorry for the long post, I just wanted some answers I couldn't find any

Just taking a guess but I think once you enter the code it puts you on an invite list. So once we get closer to the console beta they'll mail out the codes.

I have read on Defiance.com that if you preorder you are guaranteed beta. If you buy it from there it should come with a code because you have to enter it on the Trion website trionworlds.com. Sign in, and click apply code. That is how I heard to do it. Maybe a Dev can clear it up for me. Now if you buy it straight from Trionworlds then they give you it. Gamestop should have the code to give you so I am not sure.

As a current Gamestop employee, I will give you the details. On the good side, if the code did not print on the receipt its usually because we've so many pre-orders that the code gets shut off. Not to worry, the code can always be re-printed. You just need to inform the manager that you need a re-print of the code. That's the bad news. Some managers are new and don't know about this, but each promo code can be re-printed. You might have to ask for the District manager. I'm positive they will get you the answer. But to answer the question, if you pre-order from Gamestop, yes you will get into the beta.

Well mine I pre ordered before the announcement, and didn't have the registration code. I went in and told them it didn't have the registration code on it and they, like you said about your manager, we're confused.

I showed him the post by lance about that being the way they contact us for the beta. He clicked few a few screens and printed out a new receipt of with the code on it

Alright, our manager is brand new and he didn't have idea what to do at that point and I'm pretty new. Thank you for helping and clearing up some doubt.

Well, I'm glad I'm not the only one. I guess we will just have to wait and see.

As a GameStop employee, I wonder if you have an info on how pre-order codes are handled for online orders. I am still waiting for GameStop.com to answers my email about it.
