I do find it kind of ridiculous that it started at a 9 hour download, so I let it sit overnight. In the morning it gives me a patch error. I'm trying again today but the 5 hour download time is seriously crazy.

I installed/patched 34 hours ago, at the time I was getting about 0.10Mbps download speed from the patch, my current information as of the time of this post is as follows:

The EU server site is in Amsterdam, NL

Sledge wasn't telling people they SHOULD download from Austin, he's trying for some consistency in the data gathering phase of this.

Is there anything about critical errors during initial install?? Ive been trying to install this game since 11am and it says critical: failed to install a necessary game file. please try again... someone please help??

While I dont have a fast BB conection, I do normaly download MMO game patches overnight etc, never had any problems with rift, EQ, Eve or any other game

my problem is not just speed, I know I'm slow, its just the patch failes and then restart from the begining never giving me the changce to play, or get the download done in chunks

At this time of posting I am on my 7th attempt to complete a patch, it crash and needed to restart so proberly wont be finished untill this time tomorow

Using a wireless router as well. It is upstairs and I am in the basement. I notice more of a lag problem today than yesterday and more yesterday post-patch than pre-patch. Today was so bad I had to quit after respawning twice. The second time I respawned I got shot to death. Problem there, nobody was near me. Nobody. When I was killing the mutants, it wouldn't let me pickup the ammo or scrip or anything. :confused::confused:
