Need help!

Ok, I have been having a few things wrong with the game, I have tried playing it strait on Glyph with out Steam and with Steam. I have the game downloaded and every time it starts up, it does through the intros, then says connecting to servers, Then a message saying Critical, Unable to connect to Defiance servers. Then giving me the options to either try again or quit. Thinking that I was just missing some files, I Verified the integrity of the game, first time says I was 71 files failed and had to be re-acquired, equaling 13.2 GB, let it download then re started up the game, same can not connect message, then Verified the integrity AGAIN, and 68 files failed, equaling 13.2 GB. What can possibly doing this. Also when I try the repair through Glyph it says all files are there, not downloading anything, when through Steam when I verify it says the files are missing. But like I said before, neither one works and they both say the Critical, can't connect message. All I want to do is play!!! Please help me, thanks in advanced.

P.S. I messaged Glyph support about 2 weeks ago about my issue and they have yet to send me a response back.

I had an issue like this way back. My account ending up being corrupted and after working with a very high level GM for about a month I ended up having to create a second account and then the GM recreated my character on it.

To verify if you have the same issue, and I sincerely hope you do not as it was a lot of grief to rectify it and, AFAIK, I was the only player they were able to successfully fix, try to log into Defiance with another account. Any account, doesn't matter.

If you get in it means your account has been corrupted and, unless anything has changed, you'll need that second account anyways. If you don't get in then it seems like you may have a firewall or antivirus programming meddling with Defiance.

Thank you so much for the help, but one quick question, do you mean a different account on steam, or a different account on Glyph? And the first thing that I has checked was my firewall and I allowed everything with Defiance, Steam, and Glyph so that's why now I have no clue. Thanks again.

Ok, thanks to my quick internet speed, I was able to re-download the game and make a new Glyph account relatively quick, however, my account must not be corrupted, just got done trying it with the second account and I'm still getting the Critical, can't connect message.

Okay, I know it sucks but you're actually lucky that the second account is behaving identically. Trust me.

Have you tried completely disabling your AV program? Other stuff can interfere with it too like Peerblock or Spybot S&D's registry teatimer.
