Arkforge gone??

just left silly-con valley to do some major events in the hopes of gaining some arkforge to upgrade ego levels on some of my better weapons.... only to find that no events are dropping arkforge at all any more... i've done two incursions, and 3 major darkmatter arkfalls, placed in 1st-3rd place in each event with scores ranging from 73K to well over 200K. the chat system is also broken once again, so i cant simply ask in zone chat to find out if other players are having the same results. i am seriously starting to wonder if this is one of three things...
#1: only happening on my end and no one else is effected
#2: yet another unintended bug caused by an update (the product of one fix breaking 5 other things)
or #3: the rumors were true, and trion has decided to remove all arkforge from the game aside from the bit store, forcing the full shift to pay to win rather than free to play.

speak up, guys. if you're having the same issues, something needs to be done about this.

I've done maybe two events before I gave up and both dropped... a grand total of one arkforge each.

maybe it's just the PC servers or something then, every one in zone chat, now that i figured out the issue there (font size defaulted to zero in settings) is saying they're having the exact same issues.

I have to agree........... This is complete bollocks.

That's not how you win over players...... This is bollocks.

I just hope this is bugged out and a glitch........

Just did an arkfall with score 99k and got 1 (one) arkforge.

I haven't fully tested every event type, but I got at least 10 forge per expert done tonight with an extra per 5k scored after 65k points. What I did see was about 75k score needed in large events to start seeing forge and an extra every 25k points earned. I'll probably test events tomorrow for efficiency (events down in SV were broken until restart just now). Also, it appears breaking armor plates no longer rewards points. Enjoy!

Well, there goes half the motivation to buy the DLC, and get the Bio nano perks. Those were great for score whoring.

Arkforge isn't nearly as important as it was anyways, with the weapon encryption and all.

Nobody is enjoying this. So I have to change to a DPS loadout. I don't need arkforge. YOU will have to grind weeks, maybe even months to get to 1k arkforge. The joke is on you if you think this is fun.

Trion intended to nerf the game rewards. It is posted in patch notes. Gotta buy forge from store if you want to do anything.

I remember getting around three arkforge from a major. It's ******ed. I'm not playing this game until they bring back rewards.

That might be true. I remember seeing one guy have like 99999999 score, but i had a beer and i clicked away fast, so i thought i might have confused it with his name bugging. xD
Ive obtained 1-10 AF myself no idea how.

really wish a dev would get on and atleast say something...the have been dead quite since the patch...none has said a word...are they reading what thier community has to say about these changes? like do we have to put up a big red flag for them...you have done some pretty dumb things in the past trion...but this is just setting a nuke of in the middle of time square...you have or are going to loose 50%+ of you players...no one is going to pay for anything anymore...your player base is PISSSSSSED...how about you take the servers done for another 12 hours and just undo everything you did...hell take away that worthless little island you just added to...its not worth having if your going to nerf the rest of the game...

I have money for buffs,key limits and backpack space. Will I pay to have a moderately competitive gun, absolutely not. Imo AR wasn't easy to grind in the first place . Now it is impossible what took a week to accumulate in the past will now take months. Pay to win kills games for all but the rich or 0 life players. If I can't gain forge, I will certainly ditch this game as a waste of my available gameing time. Bad move trion.
For me the game has always been about the guns and social aspect, you managed to break both in one fell swoop. I sincerely hope some of these decisions are reversed. After the destiny beta I was somewhat unimpressed with its lack of social interaction. Now I feel like I am slipping towards the dark side.

I actually paid attention while mowing enemies down today and you still gain points for breaking armor plates. It may be a smaller amount though, will have to run some tests.

Have you observed smaller kill shot rewards for Arkfall bosses as well? Several other players have been reporting this.

I took first spot in 4 separate greater arkfalls today and ended up with only 4 or 5 total arkforge from them and about the same keycodes. I just don't get why they'd make decisions that would disgruntle so many active players.

I normally am one to not complain about some nerfs to drops, but this is just on a level of it's own. I am seriously contemplating leaving.

I think this may be it for me. It's what they want, you know. They want the veterans gone. I never buy into conspiracy theories, but I just don't see any other explanation anymore. Nobody could possibly be this tone-deaf to their players.

There's just no other answer for their development decisions I can possibly rationalize. Each one, chased to its own end, collapses in absurdity.

I'm not a vet. I'm only rank 841, and have been playing a little over a week. I knew this game had issues when I started playing it only I never thought things would get so much worse. I've seen few games with so much potential fall as short of that potential as this game has. It was hard enough as it was to feel like I was progressing. I'm just not going to spend hours and hours and hours just to crawl ahead a few inches.

I just don't see a point in playing this or in recommending it to friends. In fact I'll be recommending my friends go elsewhere.

The impact isn't focused on veterans. Players that have been around simply notice things faster and are in a better position to understand the long term ramifications faster. The impact of what they've done over the course of the past few weeks is significant enough for new players to notice as well. Steam player concurrency numbers have dropped by over 40% from where they were last week. That's a horrible retention rate and if it goes free-to-play for the consoles, most players won't be stupid enough to not recognize the game for what it's becoming. If they're banking on that they're in for a disappointment. If they've simply decided to milk the game for all they can in the short term and burn through the rest of the market then it explains what they're doing but it's going to ruin whatever reputation the company has remaining beyond the life cycle of the game.

Btw, I'm accepting donations. Since I went back to Marvel Heroes I've seen a couple of nice costumes :p

Now that's a game that had a rocky start too, to say the least, but it has improved by leap and bounds.

Interesting how the guys from Trion have already commented about the "map in water temple issue", the chat problems, the outfits dropped by the lockbox, the vendor visual bug... but not a single word about the massive arkforge and key nerf, which is what most hot topics are about.
