Trion's relationship to ArcheAge?

Can anyone help me out on this? I was under the impression that Trion had no direct hand in the ArcheAge development, that it was a Korean company and a Korean development team, and they were only there as a western publisher/distributor/biller and perhaps to offer localization/western/cultural tips??

People seem to be saying Trion will mess up ArcheAge next, or are abandoning this game for ArcheAge? I was under the impression RIFT was their newer baby and favored child?

Does Trion have the power to ruin ArcheAge?

I thought they were localising and publishing.

RIFT is actually older and defiance was there new baby.....archage and trove they are just publishers. Probably because games they develop are run into the ground.

ArcheAge looks more like the kind of game i'd play longterm, I like exploration and resources/crafting... though it does look like it will start out very small.
