Returning player . . . Disappointed

I'm not a poster, I come to the forums to research help or quests. But I think it's time I voice my concerns.
I've always loved this game. I had to take a long hiatus due to real life and only recently came back a month ago. I bought all the DLC's and even a sub (despite the sub being a little lack luster, but hey, I wanted to give Trion my support). Everything was so new and exciting it was like playing for the first time again. Then SV patch hit.
The changes are so frustrating. So much so I even canceled my sub.

I'm not one for the "chase". I liked the random weapon drop rates. I didn't want what was best, just best for the moment. From white to purple, I didn't care. I used them all. I only saved the OJ's because I thought I'd tinker with them once I reached cap. Now they are worthless.
Upgrading anything is pretty much pointless.

I'm not going to rage quit over this patch because it still holds some value to me. I still like playing the game. But neither will I support it with RL money. Not in it's current state.

So I join the countless others (both loud and silent) protesting the patch and boycotting the bit store.
Maybe it will do some good, maybe it won't. But at least I tried.

Someone should create a Store Boycotter sig-pic, similar to the Lockkeeper one. Would give us a bit more visibility.

There's no sub to play?

Defiance doesn't HAVE a subscription, so how could you (a) want to support them so much that you bought something nonexistent and then (b) cancel something that doesn't exist?

Not unless you can somehow set it to continuously renew or something. Patron Pass isn't a subscription. It's a collection of boosts akin to just buying one of each. It has nothing at all to do with access.

Yes you can set it up to renew every month, at least on PC. Which is why I called it a subscription. But whatever you want to call it (semantics aside), they are losing my $10 a month.

Interesting. There's no such option on the consoles as of yet. I wonder if that is coming with F2P on Tuesday.
