Playstation Plus Pack for Defiance on PS3: Not Working!

So, Kiwi or Devs:

PSN Store is advertising a Defiance "Playstation Plus Back" that is FREE for PS+ members and includes the following:

Tex Growler Pro ATV in camo orange
Weapon Kit
Tier-4 Lock Box
3 XP Boosts
100 BITS (in-game currency)

However, it does not seem to be working. I have gone through the purchase process on the PSN store, and then I've tried to access that content by hitting the "download" command on the PSN Store page. Basically, nothing happens. Now, I know this is likely not something to actually "download" so much as something that just tells the system, "Hey, this person should get this stuff in their claims" or somesuch, but I'm seeing nothing at all showing up in claims, nor anything new elsewhere. The new stuff simply isn't coming through.

Is something up with the store for this item? Is it truly available? Is it perhaps screwing over people who play the disc version of the game, rather than the downloadable version of the game?

I'm at a loss here.

In the past, with DLC, the same thing would happen. I'd need to log out and log back in to see the stuff.

Also, thank you for telling us about this - I am PS+ and that's neato bandito.

I've logged in and out repeatedly, restarted the console twice, etc. Nothing is happening whatsoever, and this is also being reported on the Bugs/Issues page. Something's screwy apparently.

And yeah, isn't it odd that they end up doing something positive for PS+ folks (exclusively, apparently), and they don't hype it up AT ALL? I'd figure they would've highlighted this during talk about today's F2P launch.

And yes, this is a PSN exclusive, and as for advertising, that's coming, it just hasn't started yet (F2P has only been active for a few hours).

I've let our person who handles PSN promotions to look into this. Ill hopefully have an update tomorrow.

It was a nice surprise, by the way, to see that come up on the PSN store update today. Hopefully whatever hiccup is going on with it is a simple one.

I've had the same problem. Ps Plus Subscription and use the Defiance Disk. I'd like to get my pack too.

....and i just let my ps plus go yesterday after a couple years of having it. All the games for "free" either sucked or i already had them. Oh well, such is my luck.

The PS+ problem is definitely on Sony's side, as it doesn't even attempt to download the key.

I hope when you says PS exclusive that it means that just for now since Xbox does not have F2P. If not im kinda dissapointed you guys chose to do that.

I'm having the same issue. I contacted PSN and they had me redownload the store, then reset the PS3's Database, then delete the defiance patch...all to no avail, they then stated that I should contact Trion and/or check the forums. :(

If you guys already have defiance (the game) downloaded. The stuff isnt a download, its a feature added to your account upon purchase. Try going in game and checking your claims. If you do not have the game already disreguard this.

False. The issue is on Trion's end. There is no download key. It is an entitlement that shows up under the Defiance category in your PSN services list after purchase. Seriously, go look.

I also purchased this entitlement and did not receive the in game items after several(forced due to DCs) relogs last night.

It working now.

You mean the list of services that make you download a key, including PS+ (but not Home, because it's preloaded), because PSN requires a download for any transaction to work, even if it's just a 100k file? Then yes, I noticed that.

I've had a different experience with the PS+ Pack...

My first character I made had everything available to him from the PS+ pack at the start, and me being the overzealous one that I am, equipped the grenades given to me before I received the pursuit to do so. WELL, when I received the pursuit I went ahead and opened the case to receive more grenades but glitched the inventory when I picked them up. My character was stuck and was unable to move unless I equipped the grenades, which were already equipped! I tried everything from logging out to blowing myself up to remedy the problem but after a while I decided to just delete the character and start over.

Bad mistake, the pack was completely gone from my inventory on my new character and now I have no idea how to get it back. Anybody else have the same problem or similar? I'd appreciate any sort of help. I really liked that Sawed Off Shotgun!

Thanks for finding this! As Phantasie said, CS should be able to help with anyone who has experienced this so far.

The issue actually consists of 2 bugs:
1) the PS+ Pack items sometimes go directly to a new character's inventory instead of the Claim Items section of the store, and
2) the tutorial can get stuck if a character already has a high tier frag grenade in their inventory.

I've submitted a fix for 2) that will go out to the "PTS" public test server soon. This should prevent anybody from getting stuck in the tutorial based on unexpected inventory contents. It will also allow existing characters to get un-stuck from the grenade section of the tutorial.
We are still investigating 1) which is a less obvious problem, but it doesn't block anyone's progression.

For me it wasn't until the next day that I got the PS+ bonus items. On Tuesday I "downloaded" it but didn't get anything that night. When I played Wednesday I got the items on log in.

Yes, some people didn't get the items right on Tuesday, so we manually granted them overnight/Wednesday.

It worked for me after restarting my PS3
