Tell me why I shouldn't. And you'll need to be far more specific than something like "...later this month will be an exciting new patch with new missions and gear!"

I *WANT* you to convince me there's something worth sticking around for.

The game is too big and the team too small.
    Aint gonna happen Cav.

    I agree with Bonehead.

Cav, correct me if I am wrong but hasn't 47th Legion already left the game once and returned?

I'd suggest to you the same thing I would suggest to anyone. Play whichever game you get the most enjoyment out of, and then later return for a day or two in order to see if any progress has been made.

This thread is a pretty accurate gauge of the community's mental state. Even with the ugliness of scaling, the game was at least still generous until the last round of nerfs. Now it's really starting to feel like a MMO (or Borderlands 2 minus the funny).

The ONLY good changes I can think of are the upgrade abilities of Arkforge (minus the gougey amounts required to actually do anything) and the ability to continue gaining weapon xp with a mastered gun.

Having played both games extensively, I would have to say BL2 drop rates are much better than Defiance's.

quite true - but BL2 doesn't have to balance things as much around other players, nor does it really have much to gain by keeping players playing it on a regular basis. the players of BL2 don't rely on others to complete/spawn events. much easier to deal with the creation of loot drops and drop rates in an "offline" game in that respect.

Careful, you are going to shatter his carefully crafted reality!

More to the point, BL2 has no cash shop.

I never played it. Did it have monthly recurring server overhead?

Nope. You were your own server and hosted up to three other players for a max of four player co-op. Or you joined in someone else's co-op. I never had any lag issues but you can see how someone with a lousy connection would have a hard time.

I used to play the original Starcraft like that. Well, actually we were all in the same room so lag wasn't an issue... it was so much fun.
