That's a waste of keys right there. If you're alone and can kill the thing in seconds then don't..kill bugs and run out the clock...if you kill bugs for 12-13 minutes you usually end up with about 400 or so kills which is big points which means big score which means MORE KEYS. Then kill the crystal at the end before time is out and collect more than 1 key. The most Iv'e gotten when doing this is 20 keys...
does this make me a CRYSTAL KEEPER? :)
Most of the Arkfalls and incursions etc i have done in the last few days have had a good 20 or so people on them, only had 2 or 3 where i was on my own. This is on EU Xbox servers, Usually around 9pm UK time when i go on.
Yep, my max were 589 kills. It's useful for the 5k kills pursuits, too.Quote:

Last night was horribly depressing on 360 NA which has always struck me as the most populated server. Well, last night it was lonely. I said that in zone chat and someone replied "There are a lot of us at this Dark Matter Arkfall." Um, there ended up being 11 including me at the end. I would say it's because there are so many events happening that the population is spread out, but my friend list didn't go above 3 (I have like 60 Defiance friends) and about 5 outside in from my very active clan. O M G.
Oh, and Tremer above me in this thread was one of those 3 online.
No one shows up because when more than 3 players show up in one area the servers cant handle it. Pathetic servers and non-existent customer service. Last Trion game for me.

With all the terrible lag since the patch that was supposed to fix arkfall circles from remaining, there has been nothing but terrible lag. Lag so bad that the game is unenjoyable.
Until they fix it, the servers will remain dead. I just dropped $80 into this game right before this terrible lag and I feel robbed.

I played ps3NA Friday night and it was so dead. Basically did a scrapper ark fall myself until the end when I just left because I was getting flattened by it. The most people I saw was incursion in Mt Tam and there were 4 of us until the server kicked me out. Even with it being such a dead zone the lag was terrible and I kept getting kicked out of my car. It sucked.

Best thing to do , turn Defiance into a Single player game, at least won't be connection and lag issues since we pretty much are playing solo anyways these days.

3 majors in the final stage at the same time. There were 2 more majors up, 2 Incursions, and Kenn Farm was being run, too. And all that just on that one shard. If there were less events to consolidate players into them it would feel much more alive (until you inevitably lag out and get disconnected, of course).
I definitely agree with you on that. I think maybe their thought was to have more events going to alleviate lag or something but instead it dilutes the population. It is wonderful that there are so many things to be doing, but I do think it would be in all our interests to force us toward the same major Arkfalls together. I think it would even out in terms of time for us too: We ask go do it and complete it together and fast and then another one soon drops.
I know I am saying this now, but I also know I am very thankful that the Mt Tam incursion came back due to the change of event scheduling when it had been missing for so long. I do love the Mutant Swarm at Serenity Academy. But maybe just limit one major Arkfall at a time per shard.
But big events should feel big and crowded... that's what made Defiance feel special, honestly.
You're onto something here...
The frequency and concurrency of events has definitely increased, particularly in SV.
Toning the majors down a bit would go a long way towards alleviating lag - not so much the frequency, but the amount happening at the same time.
Trion, this is basic common sense! I hope one of you are paying attention, here!
The issue, I think, is the idea that less people at an event would equal less lag, but in the last few days, I've really found the opposite. I honestly rarely have had lag issues (disconnects or timeouts are another story) but now that I am at events alone or with a handful of people, I am experiencing slow down and hiccups even at emergencies.
Defiance players came to love the intense crowded feeling at big events. Last night at a Darkfall, I felt sad that tons of people weren't BMG spamming me when the Monolith was sending the artillery shots.
I'm busy processing a video I did when I was Ego 1700 at an incursion, in the good old days. I'll be putting it on Youtube.
Pure chaos! Volge weapons and bmgs galore and not one ounce of lag.
Man, I miss those mad races from point to point.
It's not the population, that's for sure.
