I'm still trying to pull one. Congratulations, by the way. Is it everything you imagined and more?
The new ultimate chase reward is bugged? They didn't bother to test it? Aaaaah Defiance. Never disappoints.
Not a bug, I rather have this reload anime than the usual one.
No, he said it looks like a Wolverine.
pics or it dint happen!
Mine looks exactly like a wolfhound.
If it's messed up, you can give it to me:D
I have it too (amazingly I got it on the first lockbox after the patch. The ONLY time in my life where I've been lucky. lol ... Well I got the phoenix mount in WoW too I guess).
I just tried it out. It does animate like it's a has a rolling chamber instead of a clip.
I pulled one and after i modded it it looked more like my wolfhound. It's pretty nice but then i had a pretty nice wolfhound to. Hits alittle bit harder but not by much and no that wasn't a complaint.
Go figure, my main is EGO 4800 and I was really holding off on opening major boxes until i was 5200+.
I opened one tier 4 box after the update just to see, and got all blue junk. Last night, just to burn some keys, I got another tier 4 and got the jackpot wildcat. I haven't used it any, the AF to keep it at my level is my focus now...
I pulled one and it was glitched. The overload ability would not trigger. I emptied the mag on full reload, and used all of my bullets 4 times. Not one single time did overload activate. I had to log out and log back in for it to work properly.
got a jackpot on my jackpot, rolled x1.10 crit mastery 1st time :)
That as well, so unless it's at LEAST a 50% across the board reduction to cost, it's not worth my time. If not, at least let us use salvage to upgrade. I'm sitting on millions of salvage with nothing to use it on.
Is the thing tied to the gunslinger dlc or is it exempt from it like the orange blade was exempt from having to have the castithan dlc? If it is tied to the dlc it will be useless to most f2p players and so not that big of a draw.
What would be great (if they do not want to wave the dlc requirement) is if the drop was smarter so that the jackpot weapon was something that took the player's dlc spread into account and came up with one that could actually be used by the player. Of course it would mean more jackpot weapon possibilities would have to be set up so it will never happen...
It is too bad since if the player could actually use it and get used to the special features it would be good incentive to actually buy the dlc to get more weapons with similar special features instead of just annoying them with junk that looks good on the card but is useless like all that 7th legion garbage that is forced on players without the dlc in Silicon Valley (and now elsewhere as well). The fact that the 7th legion schtako uselessly takes up the higher end weapon slot in the reward more often than not is even more revolting and makes players sick of the stuff and so less likely to buy the dlc (and even more likely to walk away from the game in disgust and play something else for that matter).
Sometimes things just backfire on you

The 7th Legion drop is not in the high end loot drop roll. The high end drop roll is always a roll from the core game loot table. I've received dozens of Legendaries from Incursions and not a single one of them is a 7th Legion Weapon. I have never even received an Epic 7th Legion weapon. They are always Rare or Uncommon.
I should have phrased that differently since I was not thinking of purple or orange at the time; the only time I was at a Silicon Valley event that had enough people to push the threat level high enough for purple I got a core set sawed off slugger (and of course a 7th legion green of some sort) but one data point is not enough to draw conclusions from so I ignored it. I also should have differentiated the geographic element better. I suppose it could also just be a long string of bad luck too, but the length of the run makes it less likely than them being high on the lower end tables.
In Silicon Valley they seem to drop as the main weapon reward more often than not if you top out at the green or blue weapon score, the one you get right away when the scorecard comes up (I assume that is the main one since when I get purple or the occasional orange in the northern events it usually appears in that slot) and rest that straggle in over the next few minutes or more are usually either lesser rarity or at least simpler weapons with "two banger" synergies or none at all (or more 7th legion...). A few times I have gotten nothing but 7th legion weapons along with the usual scrip and whatnot which is rather annoying to say the least.
In the northern landmasses the 7th legion stuff seems to still be on the bottom, I have not gotten anything higher than green ones there, and them at a lesser rate than normal greens, and I hope it stays that way instead of creeping higher. For my (relatively) higher EGO characters it is not a problem there since I do not use green that much with them but for lower EGO toons it is just another useless item that takes the place of something that may have some actual use. (I have several characters that I only run with a few friends I have talked into playing the game and with the usual scheduling conflicts it comes out to only playing a few hours at a time at most so they do not advance anywhere as quickly as an independent toon).
We took a look at this. There's a couple models used for wildcats and this particular one exhibits the problem you mentioned. Since the gun is "in the wild" now, I'm loath to change it to the more common wildcat model which doesn't have this problem. Instead, I'll see if we can fix the anim, though that requires a full patch so isn't something that can be done as quickly.

Perhaps they should allow people who have one to go to live chat and get it replaced or keep it the way it is. Everyone can be happy.
While the idea sounds nice, you would then end up with people complaining about getting an inferior or unwanted Jackpot. Once you have two or more possible weapons of remotely "Jackpot" quality, different people are going to have differing opinions of their favorite. You will also have the issue of people who might actually be willing to buy the DLC to use a DLC weapon, who will complain when the game gives them a (likely worse) non-DLC alternative.
The best two solutions would either be to not use DLC weapons as Jackpots or to make any such DLC weapon usable by the owner regardless of DLC ownership. However Trion wants to make money, and both of those solutions remove a winner's encouragement to buy the related DLC.
