VOT Blaster - 1 bullet mag??

Just before the servers went down this morning I managed to finish a storyline mission and got myself a blue VOT Blaster which far out-damaged my current rifle so sure, I equipped it right.

I went to test it out just to get a feel for the recoil (if any) and reload speed and oddly enough it only fired 1 bullet at a time and then would force a reload every time... reloading just 1 bullet again. Isn't it supposed to be a 20 bullet mag?? Unfortunately I wasn't able to look into this very much as i was soon booted from the servers for maintenance but I just wanted to check is this normal or is it weird? Or maybe some strange lag effect from the servers going down?

just a quick edit note, the VOT Blaster is a pistol .. this gun:

Are you sure it's equipped, sounds like the default pistol you get when unequipping weapons, make sure there's a weapon in both slots and try again

Agreed. It definitely sounds like he unequiped his gun and didn't equip a different one.

Even if it was the default pistol when you have everything unequipped, the 1 shot then reload he is talking about would still come into question. I don't know of any weapon like that currently.

Well considering the pistol you are given when you unequip your weapons has 1 round in the mag and would need to reload after every shot - it sounds like that is exactly what he's describing.

Are you sure about that? I recently accidentally had it equipped when I was adding mod slots, and I was able to fire quite a bit.

Yes I am. They added that weapon on purpose it was even mentioned in the patch notes when they added unequip. It is a 1 shot pistol.

It indeed is a one shot pistol.

This thread has me remembering a video someone posted quite a few months back of their toon with no weapon equipped - actually NOT the one-shot pistol either. At the time it was not working as intended.

The awkwardness of the toon creeping around was hilarious to watch! I'd love to see that again, anyone know where that thread is? I just spent awhile trying to search and coming up empty...not the friendliest search options here.
