It would make a lot more sense for it to be earlier. Not everyone wants to stay up to 11 pm doing dailies.

7 pm would be a much nicer time.

    Hi Wurm

The Daily Server restart is at that time to have the least impact since it happens early in the morning UTC time.

The reset time for Dailies isn't specific to a region, so we can't change it for one region to another. That said, it is still a 24 hour period - meaning I don't see how the actual time for the reset makes a big difference - you always have a 24 hour window to do them. Or am I missing something?

We choose the current time for the reset because it seemed about in the middle for playable hours for both regions (Mid day North America, Evening Europe).

    Late evening Europe.

Most of us like to get the dailies done and over with... and most of us have jobs to go to in the morning. More people play during the evening than during the day.

And I really don't know why you say have the least impact, its not like its a server restart, you get a message and its done.

Sorry - Maybe what I said may have been confusing.

    When I said :

I am talking about a complete restart of the Servers (environment) that happens once a day. We do this at 3AM GMT since that is when the least number of players are on and the restart disconnects everyone. We have control over when we can do this Server restart. This is independant from when the Dailies restart.

Then, I talked a bit about the Dailies:

The Dailies also restart (refresh might be a better term) once a day, however because the servers are identical from one region to the next, we have to use the same time for all regions - we can't have a unique time for EU vs US. So we chose Noon Pacific Time.

Obviously everyone has different play styles - so I'm not trying to change yours - its just in this case I don't see when the Daily restart happens matters, since you will always have a 24 period to do them. Doing them early in that 24 hour period vs later in that 24 period, barring a bug I'm not aware of, is irrelevant.

(I suppose the one case the restart time would matter is if you can only play around that time, and the restart always happened midway through your play session).

it's hard to do some Sites when you're way below 5K ego and sometimes it just takes too long to fill in PUG for coop maps if you're not in big clan. maybe combining server restart and contracts reset would make them happier?

Does this daily refresh time also count for rewards? Sometimes if I'm not actually playing the game on a constant basis I still make a not to log in and get the bonus and I want to make sure if I log in twice in the same daylight period I'm not on the same day. I'm in the EST time zone.

Don't worry too much, clocks are setting back one hour this weekend, so resets will be at 8pm CET (GMT+1).

We are still in CEST zone so that 9pm is GMT+2.

Europe is changing clocks this weekend.

I'm not exactly sure if daily restarts will remain at 8pm CET or will they be back at 9pm after US changes their clocks.
