Down with the Slugger Babies!

How about we talk about all the PSI-30 Slugger users a.k.a. Slugger babbies. That gun is WAY OP. Crazy large crit hit box. (shoot chest, get headshot) and 0 Falloff damage. You can literally aim a shotgun at a mid/far range (we are talking like Assault Rifle range) target and kill them in 1 hit, no matter your shield/perks/etc etc. Go get a double dmg (blue and OJ roll) one and become the ultimate cheese in PvP , not counting hacks, of course. The fact that I can wear a 24k shield w/ defensive perks and someone can just turn and 1 shot, 1 kill me anywhere from close to past where an assault rifle starts falling off in damage is completely broken.

Would love to see this gun toned downed and fixed. Pretty please with sugar on top. <3

Not that i don't agree with you, but easy to say now after a certain someone used that cheese when they were still pvping for ego with a classic slugger charge sniper combo. The new players need crutches and those weapons provide them.

In any case just stay a little far from slugger babies an hop and they cant kill you.

Here we go again.

Trion, there seems to be a market niche for a marshmallow gun based pvp game.

Money to be made here bean counters.

Imo the the rate of fire for it should be lowered considering its power. It shoots faster then the Birdshot. It should be equal or slower to that at least. The thing with the Slugger is that its really powerfully and forgiving on missed shots because of the rate of fire it has now. So if you do miss with the 1st and 2nd shots as a lot of ppl do, you have 3rds and 4ths shots rolling on behind them and it only takes 1-2 shots to do the job. During that time if someones shooting you with a machine gun you will most likely get that hit in to put them down before they do you. If the rate of fire was lower then it would be more balanced as those missed shots would be a big deal as you would have windows of being open. But right now it doesn't even matter as the odds are on your side with it with the ROF it has.

I have a 7th Legion Fury Slugger with stock Rad Nano and all +Mag rolls except the OJ so me pointing this out isn't one of those 'your just whining because you don't have one'. I pretty much have the best one you can get.

Nef I'm going to have to disagree with you on your Wanyu being one of the best. I say this because mine is hands down the best on ps3 NA.

really wish this game had some kind of block function.
a player controlled shield to absorb incoming shots. even if it had a long cool down. bring back a little need for skill again.

I know crap like surgbolters are so new players can take down vets easily but when you only die to the "cheap shots" it gets a little tedious. bad enough players under 1k ego can dominate with minimal perks, mods and green weapons (we are supposed to believe they aren't cheating), but doesn't this practice make the whole point of obtaining, modding and grinding for better weapons (ie. the ONLY point to the game), completely futile? I won't be buying bit store items for their fancy stats and synergies which equate to nothing when facing off against these death defying, obscure and never before seen alt account toons happily porking their way through PvP with ZERO consequences.
