Yep I'm here, now which way to the 4th? I need to berate some 100k's.
While I do own PSU, I never played it online because I refused to pay to play a 6player MMO, sure you could see 100 people in lobbies, but the game only supported 6 players once you created a game. Like PSO before it, 20 people max in the lobbies and 4 players in a game, not worth paying to play it(good thing I had V1 instead of V2 for DC), if I can't see more than 4-6 people running around the maps. Glad Monster Hunter Tri was free to play in NA on Wii, since it too was 100 player lobbies and 4 players online, JP has to pay to play it.

Apologies for bumping an older thread, but I just got Defiance recently (EGO is only 495). I too played PSU on Xbox 360 in North America. My character (Newman Female with purple hair) was named Isolde (EUID 30005142). I played FT, MF (poorly...lol), GT, WT, AT, AF and FG. My PM (Erste Kind) was the OG GH450 Tech PM. I used that PM mainly because of her "no nonsense" attitude. She would tells MOBS to burn, suffer and die...lol. She would also tell you to "Get it together!" :o.
I started playing PSU during the actual Beta (before 10/26/2006) launch until the Server shutdown (09/07/2012) with about a 1 year break in between. I deleted my original character, out of shear frustration, after the armor element nerf. I was trying to farm for the Rikauteri (11 star bow) board. At the time, it only dropped in the Boss Box at (IIRC) Moonlight Beast? Even with 46% Ice armor (and Godlike MST), I couldn't take more than 2 or 3 hits from the buffed Olghomon and my PM and other NPC (Laia?) would usually die in one hit >.> Keeping myself, my PM and NPC alive became an exercise in frustration. So, it was virtually impossible for me to complete that mission (by myself) without it taking FOREVER...
BUT, in the end things worked out for the best. Isolde (version 2) had better luck with drops than Isolde (version 1). By the time PSU shutdown, I had just about everything I wanted. The most important item to me was my 10/10 Icarian Bow. I had almost all of the Bow PAs to 50, and the +20% PA boost the Icarian Bow had helped out alot! I managed to get mine for only 30 GB (in a trade from Anarki). Eventually, they started to sell in the 40-50 range. I spent most of the last 2 months soloing Visitor's Memory S3, looking for [B] Agito Repca and Double Cannons to sell. Ended up getting 10 - 12 [B] Agito Repca and 6 or 7 Double Cannons. Best Double Cannon I got was a 42% Light; although the 43% Dark was a higher percent. Best Double Cannon I owned was a 45% Dark 9/9...lol. I traded the 43% Dark (0/10) for the 45% Dark 9/9. My character officially retired as a Fighgunner, which would probably surprise some people.
Since Isolde was already taken, I named my Defiance character Traela (Irathient Female). Unlike PSU, my Defiance character actually has a special ability (Cloak)! I don't really PVP, mainly because I am very bad at that, but enjoy the story missions, side missions and general PVE (especially Arkfalls). Hopefully, I will see some of you in game. :o
