However the collector does not come with the Season pass or bits. So if he wanted the best he could buy, then he made the right choice with the Ultimate.

Although Amazon is actually just the shipper and middleman, so if you bought the Ultimate for cheaper at amazon, then you might have gotten it from a different company. Here's the list of all the companies currently selling it through Amazon:

I first started looking at the Ultimate version about a week after the game went F2P on Xbox. The price was 39.99. Now, after it's been F2P for a while the Ultimate is 54.99 :(

I bought the Ultimate Edition on EBay for $39.99 plus free shipping. It said it was brand new and sealed. I ordered it on New Years Eve and i haven't received it yet so hopefully it should be here sometime this week. I'm a little worried though cause on Amazon it says the specifications for the box are 19"x12"x10" but the shipping info from ebay says the package is 16"x10"x10". Can anyone who has or recently ordered the Ultimate Edition check the dimensions of the box it comes in? I'm a little worried I may have gotten jiffed here...

I just measured. Amazon dimensions are correct. However. The true item comes in a large cardboard box decorated like a defiance lock box. Inside is that and the carrying bag and a lot of extra space. So they may have removed that box and put the items in another box to send it. One that is the dimensions you eBay listed. It IS supposed to be NEW right? Can you post the pic they put on eBay?

Update: I think those initial dimensions were incorrect because I just checked the status of my shipment(which didn't get to me yesterday despite being in the same state I am in and in a city that is about a hour to a hour and a half away from me)and the 16"x10"x10" dimensions have been replaced with a more normal 19"x13"x11" which fits the box perfectly.

If you buy the ultimate edition used would you still get all the stuff it includes since the last person probably already used all the codes?

No they would probably keep all the stuff, and the code can't be reused. So you would not get any inventory slots or anything for buying it. If you want any and all the digital things then you MUST buy new to make sure that the codes are unused. Also to make sure you get all the physical stuff too.

Really I want to know the best way to go from F2P and get as much of the DLC as I can. It might be better to just get the standard version to get out of the F2P limits and grab and worthwhile additional content from inside the game.

Its all valid.. its a single code on the games manual that gets you everything linked to that edition of the game.

I just bought 2 more ultimate editions recently and everything still works.

I have purchased 4 copies of the standard edition off of ebay, all brand new. gave people the codes to help them get out of the f2p status and into the elite boxes and inv space. I have also purchased the ultimate edition for xbox 360 off of ebay. it was 99.94 on ebay and it was brand new in the box. i have activated 1 standard code got the forge inv space everything it said, i activated the ultimate edition which says "+5 inv" which it actually gave me +40 inv (35 for standard and 5 for ultimate) it gave me 2k forge (1k for standard and 1k for ultimate) so when you activate a standard, collectors, and ultimate you can get all the rewards it says. yes you can not stack a single edition code, but if you activate the standard, then ultimate, you get a total of 3k forge, 70 inv, 4 loadouts, 4 char, and everything else it says. just thought i would throw that out there.
