Sisyphus. Because that's who you'll feel like after a bit...
What killing the warmaster? Nah I don't care how many times I roll him up a hill. Because every time he goes up to the top I get a little bit stronger. (:
i can only say one thing to all this
good luck
reason :
you cant make people that dont want to listen listen. the more you push people to conform to how you want them to play the more there going to not, the reason behind all the changes to the war master was due to noobs that dont want all us vets/seasoned players telling them how to do something in this game. every change has been becuxe a noob dosent want it. well ok most of them.
the more we seasoned and vet players push them to try and play how we want them to the more thy buck and fight back and ignore us and troll us. its simple logic that if your told to do something your going to do the opisite..
in the end. i offer up the same reply i have on all " WM " threads that have some form of complante.
stop doing them. its not worth it.
but i do wish you good luck. if you can force every F2P player on PSN to do what we do on PC NA and PC EU good for you. but . console players are diffrent from PC Players. there useto being Solo players. there not going to change that habbit there going to keep going into thes things for there own binafits and there going to keep doing what thy do becuse thy want to do it the way thy want to do it.
:: shrug ::
thats all i realy have to say on the matter i wish you luck. and hope you manage to do what your doing.
Thank you for the luck, but I have no wish to force people to do anything. I simply wish to teach them how to fight if they want to learn; however, I think I'm going to chuck this idea in the trash seeing as how no other people have wanted to start the clan on their server. Unfortunately, I thought more people would be interested but it seemed like people were just content to let the large clans teach them so I'll respect everyone's decision and drop the subject of this cross server academy. Good luck to everyone.
Wait then if you do not need a clan to beat the WM then why create a clan dedicated to learning to beat the WM.
You are contridicting yourself. You need enough properly trained people frr any given run to beat the WM.
That would be a minimum of 20-25 you need at least 5 times that in the clan to ensure that you have enough for each run thats getting to be fairly large of a clan and there are pleanty of clans alread that beat the WM regularly and bring in friends and others not in the clan that knw how to fight the WM or are at least willing to listen and learn.
So really your own logic or ilogic indicates there is no need for your so called dedicated WM clan.
What is needed is private instances to ensure keeping the trolls out.
What I was hoping was that I would train people for a few week then they could stay in the clan or leave it, either way they know how to kill the warmaster.
On Xbox NA our clan THE FALLEN has been training our new members how to kill the warmaster and we had had success. As soon as the event is over we will be taking him down repeatedly. Thank god for FTP and the life it has brought back to the game. In just the last three weeks we have gotten over 600 new members. Some will stay with the game and some will not. A lot have ego'ed to over 4000 and have learned what it takes to drop Mr Monkey. The days of killing the WM will be here very soon. You can count on THE FALLEN as a WM killing clan.
That's great but unfortunately PS3 still has no such thing, nor will there likely ever be.
If you want to create a clan that helps newer players (who are willing to listen) defeat Warmaster, then I say go for it. Obviously, there will be obstacles with; players who will troll your major arkfall, players who don't pay attention to the team chat, and players who will not listen because they don't like being told what to do. You know this already and you still want to help. Do it.
Best advice from me to you is...
-- Try not being that vet who calls the newbies names like "dumbas*" (and etc) when they start trying to kill the Viscera. I know it can be very frustrating and annoying when they, but explain to them all the reasons they shouldn't.
-- Bring as many players as you can to the major arkfall site before you lay all the spikes down and explain to those there what they should do.
-- I don't know if you can copy/paste things in the chat (never tried), but if you can, type up what you can about how to defeat Warmaster and flood the chat with it. There's a character limit for how many letters/words can be in each entered chat, so obviously you'll have to shorten what needs to be said in this.
-- Don't be afraid to start out small. Of course ideas like this may not spread like wildfire, but at least you can help players out even if it's one-by-one.
-- If you fail the Warmaster, then try chatting with the people who trained that you all can do it again. Encourage them that while the Warmaster payout has been nerfed, that doesn't mean you can't gain any skill while fighting him. Through my experience, even with failed WM attempts, I'm a much better shooter while running around trying to aim/shoot his back now.
-- Don't flood players you are training with information. Do it step by step. Tell them what weapons are best, what nanos are best. Explain to them why other weapons are not good for against WM, that just because they score better doesn't mean they are doing any fast damage to him. Also, tell them which spikes and stims are best to bring during this event. Then tell them why they need a lot of players in the chamber while actually trying to take WM down. Explain to them why his back is best option for taking him down. Then move on to how WM attacks and moves around in the chamber fight. Anyway, you get the picture of course, I can stop rambling about that now. lol.
-- I almost forgot about this one, tell the people who are training and anyone willing to listen in the chat not to listen to their EGO when she talks while inside the arkfall. From what I've seen, this is why newer players don't listen to the people telling them what to do once they are inside. They are hearing their EGO telling them to break the locks, so they are jump right on that. I felt bad for new players once when players were basically screaming at the new players and calling them idiots for not listening to them, and this one newbie said something on the lines of "wait, but she [EGO] said to break the locks. why don't we do this?"
Now I don't know what it's like playing on the PS3, but I really hope something good from this. Even if you don't make the clan, I think you should try to help others. It maybe not help them with WM only, but in the whole game as well. Like I said before, I can shoot a lot better while running now that I could before and that's mostly due to the WM events I've been to. Running and aiming for his back isn't always an easy thing.
Never give up. Never surrender.
lol
I appreciate the advice but like I said earlier I'm trashing it. I have tried this several times on a smaller scale but this seems to be the type of thing that is either go big or go home. I thought it was a great idea unfortunately most others did not which I acknowledge and respect.
