Trion appears to be trying hard, but they are a bit overwhelmed at the moment.
I have no doubt that they are bound by the SyFy channel release date for Defiance. Too bad about that.
Overwise they might have released the PC version week 1...worked on resolving PC issues, etc.
Release the PS3 version week 2...worked on resolving PS3 issues, etc.
Released the Xbox version week 3...worked on resolving Xbox issues, etc.
Now, bcause of the onerous tie-in with the TV show debut date, they are hard-presssed to resolve issues on all 3 platforms at once, plus having their patch servers overloaded as well, as all 3 platforms get patched.
Sadly, game publishers just don't seem to learn or care about their end customers. Having any game prematurely released to tie in with a movie release or a TV show debut is lousy marketing. IMO.
Trion is working hard, no doubt, but this premature release has been a bit of a fiasco.
I do like the game[when I can actually play it], but this is beginning to leave a bitter taste in my mouth. If it goes on too much longer, Trion runs the risk of wrecking a promising franchise.
So good luck to them. I am hanging in there, but I do not have eternal patience.
