Loot, Shared? Or Independent Table?

    Loot, Shared? Or Independent Table?
    So while watching more videos. (Awesome btw! thank you so much Trion!) I see ammo and blue items on the ground.

    Do players have to scramble for it fighting to see who gets to it first? Or is loot more like how Diablo 3 has made it with everyone seeing only their loot and their ammo so to not create griefing or stealing of items earned?

    i dont think how loot works has been made public yet, although i could have sworn they hinted at personal loot but to what depth *shrug*, my guess is that ammo will be shared while items will be personal.

    Q: How will the looting be handled? What kind of loot can you expect?
    A: Basically you kill a enemy, they explode as they like to call a "Loot Pinata." They will drop such things as "scrip"(I think that's what the devs called it). ammo, shields and weapons. Some of them like the bits and ammo will auto pickup. Where as the shields and weapons you will need to press a button to pick them up.

    Thansk Rok and Sarcon,

    I akways have a fear of playing a sniper class if loot is not independent. Since you sit way in the back, the boss dies, and everyone up close steals it all before you can get to it. So my hopes are the loot is either shared and or specific to each individuals screen.

    they confirm it in a livestream that the loot is individual loot =D

    Not all of the loot is. They said it in several live streams certain loot is but not all.

    if it is first come first get i feel sorry for all the people die right at the end even if they done alot of work, or the people sniper. again i hope for a gw2 style loot system. every drop is unique to the player.

    I would hope for that too Phoenix. If it really is a 1st come 1st serve it wont serve the people who die, or who are far away, or healing, or reviving fallen allies. It will become a loot ninja grief session and that is not fun for world dynamic events.

    I can't really argue with him over it but the devs said otherwise in the streams, I'm going by what they said since they have control over those things.

    well like he said "We're still fiddling with things" many thing will change between now and release . but i really really hope we don't have to go trough ninja looter . that why i want everything as personal loot

    Well I agree with you but it just makes trading much more necessary if it did, without it, it may as well be just rewards for missions since you will get the same things. After watching all the live streams as well there is many, many times they just leave loot behind because there is a extreme amount of drops. So I don't think it would be all that bad.

    My biggest concern would be the rare drops... but from what they said in the stream and I gathered, those are more heavily guarded to your character. It's the common stuff you'll see more accessible to most of the surrounding players. So long as you are involved in the kill, I'm ok with it. If it's rare, I'd like to see a roll system where everyone who hit the creature (or does the majority damage), gets a fair shot at the item.

    Well that makes more sense we should tweak the wording in the FAQ then.

    i could see the PVE co-op instances being roll on equipment loot style since you typically dont run around with pickups and strangers in a free roam enviroment there.

    I don't know the the thread at the top of my head but someone ask about ninja looting and they said it was independent (if memory severs me right).
