I am having a hard time grouping with my friends in this game. It seems that it uses a lot of phasing and even though we are grouped I cannot follow him into his quest he just vanishes off my screen. This is a huge issue trying to get my friends to play as they don't really want to solo all the time. Am I the only one running into this problem or has someone figured out how to play this game with friends?
Sometimes I found the game put my group in separate instances. But a popup came on my screen that told me to press a button to join their instance. Or press your quick menu button and click on their name and press join instance.
There is an option if you click on your friend in your friends list to join them. That should bring you to their phase. I do agree with your sentiment, this game severely lacks in the social area.
Dunno, but me and my friend just do the same missions, well we basicly just play the game together do stuff together and split only for the singleplayer missions...And seems to be working more or less...
I am much further along than some of my friends the quests they are doing I am unable to get them again. I know about the "Go to friend" button but this is different. Like we are driving along together and he gets his mission (one I already did) and we go to the spot and he just vanishes off my screen I can see him on the radar but not in-game until he comes out of the mission area. Then we travel to his next quest and he vanishes again. I am unable to play co-op with him on any of the quests that I have already finished.
I am way ahead of both the friends I play with and I can still join their quest areas. You gotta click them in the quick menu and press join phase.Quote:

It's in direct correlation with the current mess of the UI and chat, methinks. It just makes communication and grouping tough so unless you're in a guild using their own Vent or TeamSpeak server you're better off just grinding missions alone as it's easier and faster.
I bought the game to co-op with friends. So far its a big let down.
- They (or I) disappear and there is only a green box where the person should be. Using go to friend usually works but not always
- I have to send 4-5 group request to a friend to get them into a group. Usually the request times out and they never see it
- Last nite my "friends" option was gone off my menu. Couldn't invite them if I wanted.
Trion needs to make it so if your in a group you get put in there instance. That would solve all the problems.

I've done 4 co-op instances today on PC. Zero problems.
