Server Update: April 4th 3:00pm PT - Xbox 360, PC and PS3

Every time I get an MMO seems to fall right in the middle of an update. Love the support...still annoying.

XBox All of my other friends are playing no issue. It wouldn't connect for ish. So I removed the game file and starting from scratch.....

i managed to get back on xbox 360 1am gmt buuuuut my game is buggy even more than it was i cant watch cut scenes i get stuck on loading everytime and my friends is seeing my as default character also while im in my dodge to him to keeps changing color aaaaaaand i have a major epic sound bug where when ever i get hit he keeps repeating the same thing over and over and if i melee he repeats the same thing over and over.. i am also hearing conversations from missions waaaaay back at the start and if im fighting mutants they continuesly speak in every characters voice seeing loads of random stuff and another thing my friend didnt have to download a patch when he got on and he is getting none of these bugs

Even so, I don't understand why people would be whining anyways. A developer to offer so much support, even so soon after release, is rare.

oh also forgot when i went to dashboard to go back into the game so i could get patch it made me reinstall the game well part of the game

In my case it's not my first I expect some issues. And applaud their support but when someone Next Door is playing fine on a lesser Internet connection and first gen 360 before I can even see the game I am irritated. I would've been fine if they pushed the release date back for test. Just irritated cause I've been downloading patches and all and still can't get online

I had the game installed i have been playing since yesterday on and off when the servers were up ... I get home from work and I download the new patch and then it tells me to "install game " even tho it was already installed so I hit install game anyway and the bar fills up immediately to about 3/4 full and stops then it says " critical failed to install necessary game file try again " is ANYBODY out there having this problem cuz I am starting to get pissed

So yeah I get asked to create a character I go to the loading screen which turns to the black screen with so music and what sounds to be typing, then I go to a black screen which informs me when my controller disconnects. Im on the xbox 360 and I see other people on the forum starting to play. Not trying to bother anyone and im patient dont worry. Just wondering if I can do something to help; like delete the files and reinstall (I would rather not do this but I can).

had the same having to install the game but didnt get error just got a game worse off than it was before lol

I understand & am very much aware that this is an MMO.. But all games should in some form or another have a single player mode that DOES NOT require being online to play.. 65$ (plus another 40$ for a DLC pass) is A LOT of money to spend on a game you can't even play.. I believe Cass said it right. "This is some serious Shtako"
In my opinion this game is no different than The new SimCity..

As in it didn't nessicarily HAVE to be online only (especially SimCity) & At this point I'd be happy with an offline Defiance PVP Arena where you play against BoTS in a tiny controlled area. Anything would be better than not being able to play at all.

p.s ps3 the better console yet to play this game lolll and im on it !!! and gonna chek the voice chat if its real... thats the second time it supposed to be ok ffrom the launch day <---------

Who pays full price for xbox live?? I don't think I've ever paid more then $35 for a year and have found it for as low as $25...

I hate to rain on the parade of stupid bickering here, but can these server updates be locked for all except developers? Nothing worse than checking for an update to the servers and have to sift through 87 pages of children chirping back and forth.

Well that isn't happening so buckle in for the ride. Also If you care for BF3, it had similar problems and it wasnt even a big game like this. So did Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. Yes they both have single/offline play, but Im just trying to say this is not an adnormal thing for games. This one is especially huge so lets give them some time. They are afterall our buddies.

where is voice chat? i've never found a button for it or anything to turn it on.

Agreed, most multiplayer games have problems for a while after launch, especially modern ones. And I would think that this being an MMO would only increase the complications getting it up and running right away.

1hr and a half patch and im still lagging horrible, can't properly do some missions oh well i guess :/

Waited all day to get on and now the glitches seem more intense

Server just kicked my friends and I off for the 3rd time since they've "fixed" it.

360 here, im still unable to get on. getting critical message saying service not available. Is it just me, or anyone else? feeling its just me seeing as alot of people are in. lol

I was on until 8:45 pm est. I was kicked off and just prior I was on a Arkfall when it got very very laggy.

I managed to get in but the lag is horrendous

Only able to get to the character selection screen, other than that i get kicked with that critical lol. Looks like im waiting it out AGAIN lol. Love the game, would just like to play lol.

i dont have lag ,, if i can even get on now !!! it just says (server not available) -_- !!! i hope they fix this soon !!!

Hangin in there and waiting for the server to become stable. Can't wait to see what the weekend will be like. LOL!! Spring break, people out of work and school. This should be interesting, to say the least.
