My question is why can we not make chat stay up all the time while not having voice chat? I was in a group last night and one of the people said they had never seen the chat before. I do not know people are talking half the time because it never shows up unless I type something.
This seems like a super simple issue that is a huge hindrance.
Hopefully this feature will get handled soon after the server issues are handled.
I use chat all the time as I'm looking for social players. (People just dont bother looking down in the right corner or they feel that its akward when a player types to them)Quote:

the social aspect is lacking.
Though I'm no help to it either, I'm normally running around solo. Just recently I joined a clan however.
As far as reviving, I've played pretty much nothing but healers in other MMOs, so it comes as an instinct to try and revive people. I've jumped out of a car to revive someone on field, even got myself downed after reviving someone. Sadly I had to respawn since I was ignored after I got them up :(.
I will take dogged up global chat any day over this garbage that we have now. Give us an option to ignore jack ***** and rest of us can get some things started up in global chat and co ordinate better with rest of the population.Quote:

The whole communication part isn't very user friendly. End up sticking with my mumble and ignoring the other players.
Almost see them as NPC's now =(
Edit: Love the game though, just hope they make changes to this once more important issues been dealt with!
i really think world chat that includes all phases would fix this. i mean what mmo doesnt have area AND world chat?
also they should have a system to tell you what phase youre on and the ability to select from all current phases.
It would be nice if there was an indicator of when people around you are dying...
This is the number 1 worst thing about the game. Trion come shine some light on the issue here in the forums? I don't think it will be much work to get the social aspects a little better.
I LOVE that I can join into a game where other people are playing and I don't Have to work with|Play with|Talk with|etc. It's a persistent game world I can jump into, help others if I feel like it, continue on my way if I don't. It's fun (for me) walking into a camp and handling business w strangers and moving of afterwards.
I don't think that means people should be deprived of social aspects if they want them, but please recognize not everyone wants to see/hear your conversations.
That said, I will be more mindful of the skitterlings ^_^
