I logged in after the server maintenance and now I need to download a patch that will take over two hours.
Now to clarify I am new to Defiance so this is the first time I have had to download a patch after initial download.
Is this regular? do you usually need to download a large patch in order to log back in after updates in Defiance?
I had a 204 mb patch but it took minutes, not hours. Can you tell how big the patch is?
I am on PC.

The patch size is always dependant on the last time you patched, of course, since its the delta to get from where you were to now.
However since you said you were up to date (im assuming that when you say "initial download" you mean you both installed, and patched up the game recently), then todays patch should be in the 200 MB range - I wouldnt expect 2 hours.
On my retail XBox, it took me about 25 minutes to both download and apply the patch just now. On my PC it took about 7 minutes. Of course these times are dependant on your internet connections.

took less than 5 for me for the update on ps3
Usually the only time you need to download a patch is after a larger update like today's. The updates usually don't take that long unless you are behind on patches like Phantasie mentioned.Quote:
