I can't come up with a good reason why they said that. Not to trivialize it, but it should just be a database update. The only way I could see it having coding implications is if they rely on using the weapons current damage to determine EGO upgrades instead of using a base damage. I can't imagine why they would do this though.Quote:

Also my 3xacc FRc sawed-off is run n gun, the aim area is way more tiny, and on the run, its more accurate than stationary hip. True on Run n Gun Mazu too. Running decreases bloom.

As PC's not only give the benefit of allowing far more expansive gaming possibilities; They do NOT become dated as fast as consoles.
I go through a rig once every 8 years on average. With the older system (in the present case) having it's OS changed to Linux (which basically makes the pc immortal except for any hardware breakdowns; but with care and attention this happens rarely).
My present system is already 5 years old; but with some upgrades to SSD drives; maxed RAM; a reasonable graphics card: it will be able to play the "latest and greatest" for at least 3-4 more years.
I challenge ANY console to not only provide the depth of experience in gaming you get from a PC. While also providing a complete home entertainment studio, AND a workstation all in one. As well as the longevity to stay current with titles that no console can even come close to running (We can also talk about modding if a real debate breaks out: An off-the-cuff comparison is SKYRIM on PC compared to those sad little consoles).
In a straight-up cost for use analysis: PC crushes console. Like a bug.
Console, PC war? Yawn...
Anyway, main point as mentioned. Crimefighter does cause lag on consoles, and since this is a cross platform mmo its not all about changing some intel blah blah whatevers. As also mentioned, devs are on the case after admitting its lagfestiness!

I constantly run a framerate meter: Biggest drops are during majors/large groups; but add ANY BMG's or 'Fighters in there and the bottom can drop right out in a large event.
In any case: I usually see a 10-20 fps loss when running experts with 'Fighters and BMGs.
Funnily enough i do not see drops like that with any other weapon. Including ones like the GL-X which can literally light every mob in a room on fire.
I see it with one other weapon on console, the rebound lobber. Which makes me think its something to do with the actual 'rebounds' rather than the fancy colours or whatever.
That is exactly what the devs found out a while ago. It all the is the bouncing overloading the physics processor. Consoles are vulnerable to it as are older low end PCs. A big mass of them all bouncing projectiles at once can even make some inroads on modern PCs though not by much.Quote:

Not arguing PC'S superiority over the set in stone console, just that I grew tired of spending cash to keep up. Gaming is just too far down on my list of needs to be able to justify the expense. The console, IMHO, doesn't become dated as such since programmers are only concerned with one OS, that has a set parameter.
