I'm looking forward to the chaos

Seems like every friday when they have the live stream of the game something goes wrong(cant team up, getting dropped at random, cant invite friends/co workers, these are the big ones that struck me). Anyone else have any doubts or wondering about the final product quality?
The only thing that worries me at this point is how invested is SyFy in this project. SyFy cancelled Alphas, which was I show I really thought had a lot of potential. But, at the same time, there were rumors of a Warehouse 13 spinoff featuring Jamie Murray, who plays Stahma Tarr. I also saw a video from San Diego comicon, I think, where there was discussion of a season two plot line. So' I'm thinking SyFy is at least investing 26 episodes into the Defiance series.
A tremendous amount of money has been invested in sets and two alien languages have been commissioned. So, I think there will be at least two seasons of the television series. And, I wouldn't rule out webisodes.
There's also a huge possibility of crossover. Its no secret that Nolan and Irissa are in the game and crossover to the television show. There is also the chick that appears in the VBI videos and live action trailer with two other ark hunters. So, there may be a possibility those characters appear in-game and in the tv series.
As far as game play goes, I've read a lot of posts about a lack of bank system, auction system and crafting system. But, if your at the tail end of a war, do you really think there would be banks and auction houses on every corner? You can mod your weapons, but when all hell is coming to an end to you really think you could super-size your gun?
I think this game is about building a new society, so I don't really expect it to be like any shooter or moorpg I've ever played before. That's what makes me interested in it. I could care less about why its not a traditional rpg.
