Question about Claiming V day Jackpot Weapons

Hi again, so I earned a Fates Kiss on my 3k Ego character, but my inventory was full so it went to my claims without a ego requirement. The dmg says 349 which would be extremely low for a 3k ego character. My question is, if I claim that item on my 3k ego character will the dmg increase after claiming it or will it remain the same?

In which case wouldn't it be better for me to claim it on my Second character at a much lower ego so I can upgrade it's rating more times, which would eventually be higher dmg cause I can upgrade rating more times then if I claimed it on my 3k ego character. (Assuming that spending the extra arkforge isn't an issue)

I want to bring the dmg up as high as possible and don't mind spending more ark forge to do so if claiming on my lower character will allow that. However if claiming it on my 3k (higher) ego character will bring the dmg up once claimed I would like to do so and don't want to claim it until I kno for sure.

For your information I earned the Fates Kiss on my 3k ego character (this is what confused me cause the dmg says it's so low, and on my 1st fates kiss I earned with the same character around 2,400 ego started with about 900-1200 dmg when I first earned it) is this a bug?

When a named weapon goes to claims, it "loses" its ego. It should say -- as Ego on the left site of the screen.
When claiming that weapon, the weapon will have the ego of the character you claim it on, so in your case around 3k Ego.
The damage will increase as it's a 3k Ego gun as soon as it's claimed.

Yeah I know that whatever character I claim it on, the Ego requirement of the gun will match/correlate with the ego of the character I claim it on.
So "yes" if I claim the item on my higher ego character the weapon "will" increase its dmg/stats automatically to fit the ego of the character it was claimed on?

I also have a 2nd v day weapon earned on my lower ego character that went to the claims as well, same situation. If I claim that on my higher ego character will that too increase its stats?

Would any of you happen to know if The Lucky Kitty is a weapon. I've seen pal say g that it is. I know it is an achievement as I earned it shortly after buying the season pass and participating in a Silicon Valley Incursion called Faith or Hellfire.

I guess with this forum post the secret is out. What you're talking about is a major exploit/glitch that players have used for a while. Trion hasn't known about it until recently, and it will be patched soon. I would refrain from using it because in the end, if will probably get at least a few people banned when trion starts searching for players who abused this. Players have been using it for months to avoid using arkforge, costing Trion thousands in potential revenue. Players using this are pretty much stealing from trion. I'm very surprised this post didn't get flagged by a moderator, because this post and the comments have in a way informed every reader of this post how to exploit the game.

1: it is not stealing because the players honestly earned the gear.
2: Trion has known about it from the start since that is how all named gear has always worked.
3: It is not an exploit because Trion has known from the start that named gear doesn't have an ego and gets set to the character's level when it is first claimed.
4: It is probably a simple coding fix that could be changed if they cared, However since nobody is stealing or exploiting there is no issue.
5: if they decide to change it, they will probably just change it so all gear can only be claimed on the character that earned it.

I have no doubt that this will be patched soon...as the more people learn something that benefits them, the higher the chance that it will be nerfed/patched

Considering the massive amount of players that did it during Solstice Strike didn't get it patched, I'm pretty sure it's not too high on the fix list.
