    Horror Stories
Batman, if you earn a named weapon on an ego 100 player, and you instantly boost it up to 5900 using this glitch, that might as well be stealing. To raise something from 100 ego to 5900 ego would require over $100 in arkforge. This is why you see players with 10-20 toons across multiple accounts. They have 1 high ego toon on each account and exploit this for free high ego named weapons. Say a person has 1 account, 1 5900 ego toon and 3 100 ego toons. During an event each toon is guranteed 2 named weapons. Considering $100 needed for each named weapon on the small toons. That's $600 per account that trion is potentially missing out on. If a player has 3 or 4 accounts(Which several people do, I know a few of them). That's totaling in at over $2000 in potential arkforge purchases that is being taken from trion. Would someone ever spend that much money on arkforge? No, but the potential situations where players do purchase arkforge to bring up named weapon exists. I've contacted trion developers and they said they did not know about this glitch until recently(During CC). If you say no one is exploiting you need to open your eyes. I know a good two dozen players who exploit this. I would never disclose who they are, but this glitch is being exploited to the fullest extent. The people who have only exploited for one or two weapons aren't a concern, it's when people start making multiple profiles solely for the purpose of exploiting this where it becomes a big issue.

Lol get real nobody is stealing anything from Trion
If I pulled any of the v event guns at 300 ego I wouldn't have put forge in them to go to 5900 ego there poopy I would have vendored them so it wouldn't have lost Trion $100 in lost forge sales per weapon
Infact with the new rolls system I won't be putting forge into many weapons anymore as there rolls could totally be ruined going from purple to orange

Yep the new rolls system is the only thing that will lose trion money in AF sales. Not that I would buy AF with real money anyway.

Lol, its not a "glitch" as you keep calling it for some reason.

Thats the way named gear and mission reward weapons have ALWAYS worked. Its working as intended as it has from the start.
Trion has never said anything about this issue EXCEPT that its the way it works (when ppl ask why the gear is egoless)

IF they ever decide to change this, then they will let us know in the patch notes prior.

They make plenty off of sales to not piss off the players for once

As far as im concerned when i have 4 toons i play on a regular basis, and i end up getting multiple crap cupids arrows on my high ego toons, and getting fecked in the arse by RNG............. i have EVERY right to max out my inventory on my egon500 toon so i can have the chance to get ONE DECENT named weapon at my higher toons level by sending it to claims

.......especially when i drop 50$ on bits every other month, 100$ on bits every holiday event, to only get my rectum wrecked by tons of green mods from lockboxes. Im one of the ppl who puts ALOT of money into trions pockets to keep this game which i LOVE alive, and it would be wise for them to listen to us now and then. But im pretty sure this issue is not high on the list if on it at all. ;)

It's a side effect of how claims was set up, not something intentional, and we'll fix it at some point in the future. Bigger fish to fry right now.

It is, kinda, just not intended for this particular use.

Claims was built primarily so we could grant items to accounts which could then be claimed on any character (thus the name). In that case, the scaling to the EGO of the claimant makes sense. The whole "extra inventory gets punted to claims" is secondary and picked up that scaling feature by happenstance.

I'm not a huge fan of claims being used as inventory overflow to begin with (though have no intent on changing that), but what should really happen is the item should get set to your EGO rating when you loot it THEN go to claims where it retains that information.

i kind of like that i can purchase t4 lockboxes with low level toon in hopes of getting a jackpot item that can be usable with my main level character. but netting normal 800 ego weapons from lock boxes almost get instaintly trashed even if they are good weapons because of the price they are to level up, so what do i spend all my keys on with my >4000 ego toons while leveling up? im happy spending all those keys on a 99% chance of not getting what i want, but im not gonna be very happy spending those keys on 100% chance of not getting what i want.

the only thing thats really ruined this system is the fact we are handed out free jackpots like lollies now days... infact its much rarer to see regular oj weapons compared to the number of jackpot event weapons getting around.

For the record; I was being my usual sarcastic snotty self when making my prior comment. Kudos for responding with such clarity and genuine informative communication. I'm still getting used to that and find it nicer that you might think. ( the previous contains no sarcasm and is sincerely meant.)
