UK Access to tvshow without access to the SyFy channel

I have noticed with Game of Thrones and their going to be doing the same with Defiance that there is only something like 17 hours between their air dates. that's mainly because US air these things in the am3-4ish there for UK waits 'till night. So I guess they're slowly learning the idea of a global air date. Although I know it's not the same case for most countries.

you shouldnt have to pay to watch a TV show, the TV show makes its money from the commercials that air during it

I would be interested in (even if they charge for it) the right to watch a high quality stream of the show via syfy.com as I would actually probably have paid for tv service if I was allowed to just only buy the channels I might actually watch rather than a mega pack bloated with ****.

syfy: you are utterly ******ed if you do not post your defiance shows on your website, have trion give out game codes to apply to a syfy website account and give us access. Even if you decide to sell the TV season pack for something like $30...give us the option to watch legit else...well you know how the internet works like that. Id rather give people money who deserve it, but given no options (and no im not paying the cable company since they don't sell channels ala carte)

+1 they should just have it on the defiance tv show site. im not paying a dime to watch tv ever again, furthermore i feel ANYTHING of educational value should be free to anyone in the world.

Same way I watch Game of Thrones without a cable hookup... the wonders of the internet!

Hopefully SyFy puts the episodes online otherwise I still watch the show and they get zero revenue from it. It's their choice *shrug*.

even if they put them online they will be region locked, i cant watch their website from canada without using a vpn, same with every other US TV website

i will have watch them streaming from some illegal website if i want to watch them and i'm only in canada, so its gonna be the same everywhere else

Indeed since i cut out Syfy from my package the moment they changed thier name to something stupid i haven't looked back and im not going to resub a whole package just to watch one show every week, Its unfortunate UK and probably other european countries get shafted hard by the USA when it comes to cross-regional shows and its all to do with "rights" schtako and red tape.

All this red tape does is strangle the viewerbase and as mentioned above we will end up pirating it on stream sites to watch it.

UK are getting it but on what SyFy UK. When it airs in the US it will be 4am here so we get it 9pm the night after.

It is in the US. However, you watching it isn't. Funny how the arcane time and space shifting laws work. Now watching it via webcam isn't because it isnt over the air.

Canada is getting it, but it'll be on the Showcase channel.
Maybe see if you can find out if one of your countries networks picked up the airing rights to the show.

thats not legal, thats a vpn, which circumvents the region lock, also you can use vpn's for free without buying them

Screw legitimately. If u don't have access to SyFy cos u don't have access to Sky or u live in a country where SyFy isn't available. Then straight up pirate that bi!!tch! Cos u have 2 choices - don't watch the show cos u don't have the channel its on. Or get on the internet and go get yours.
