Yeah, XBOX 360 is killing me with this, so I finally submitted and just use the same **** universally until they fix this.
Common devs, fix this ****!!! Or at least acknowledge you aware of this crap.
It's been a week, most people are high level enough to use multiple powers but can't.
They don't read our bug report from beta, now they don't read it live.....wtf....disappointed.
GUYS what ever you do do not put all of your weapons the same on the loadouts!! This gave me a permanent scavenger ego but took my best weapon and made it disappear! And yeah the outfit thing is annoying but can be fixed if you have the same outfit on all of your classes.
So I believe I've narrowed down what is causing the bug with the outfits / perks "bleeding" into the different layouts. It seems that once if you have say 2 layouts and you put cloak (main skill) on one, and overcharge (main skill) on the second one, and mix n match the perks... it seems to trigger the bleed. When you swap from one to the other, it will bleed the perks, and the outfits to the other layout. I've been able to revert to using only cloak or only overcharge and it stops the bleed, so there is something within those actions that is definitely triggering the issue.
Just giving this my nightly bump. Stay positive all, we'll get this resolved, just a matter of time and patience.
Good morning everyone, just giving this thread it's morning bump. I did want to mention that the developers are gathering data from the community about what's referred to in the dev blog as " Priority 3 " problems, of which this is one. Now that may not seem like a high priority, but considering the two above it are Cluster Crashes, and System Crashes, Priority 3 is pretty much as high as it gets while still being able to play the game at all. The secret is just making our voices heard and giving the developers the information they need.
On that note I would encourage people, in order to make a coordinated effort and to consolidate all in one place, to be on the look out for new threads posted in the Tech Support section ( or I suppose anywhere, but it really should be in the Tech Support section ) and then to post a link in that thread to this one explaining why you're linking it, letting people know this thread exists and is in existence in order to get everyone with this problem in one spot.
I would also encourage as many people as possible to list this in your in-game Support Desk option as possible. If you don't know where that is. Hit F6, go to Account, and Click on the Support Desk Tab. It gives you the ability to type up your problem and submit it, server side, to the developers. Doing this will help let our true numbers be known as both the forum moderators and the developers will be getting the same information. Now don't expect a quick response, I filed mine on the 6th and no response yet, but that really isn't the point. If you read the Dev Blogs you'll see they are super busy trying to fix Priority 1 and 2 things and while they would really love to fix everything all at once, some things, like being able to log on, do take priority. Personally I can accept that.
That doesn't mean we shouldn't keep up the push, it just means apply as much perspective as possible, just exercise patience and civility. I believe completely that this bug is the single biggest game problem in Defiance today... short of any bug that keeps people from logging in at all. So keeping this one at the forefront is paramount.
Thanks guys and have a good day.
Xbox 360
Same here.
Say, in Loadout 1 I have EGO Power Cloak and perks 1, 2 and 3. In Loadout 2 I have EGO Power Decoy and perks 1, 3 and 5. I set them up, switch between them, and all seems fine.
Then I leave the Character Screen to play. But when I then later switch from Loadout 1 to Loadout 2, my Loadout 2 perks switch to 1, 2, 3.
When I change them back to 1, 3, 5 and continue playing, then later switch to Loadout 1, now Loadout 1 has perks 1, 3, 5.
I don't really care about the outfits, but it's very annoying to not know what perks you have equipped on what loadout, especially if your loadouts are very role-specific.
It happens consistently, to me and friends.
Yup. Same problem. Xbox, north america. It's annoying, but not game breaking.
I stopped using the loadouts. Not saving much time using loadout options if you have to rewrite your perks constantly.
yeah i made a post bout this yesterday it only occurs when you have loadout with separate powers as fas as ive noticed for example i have 2 with cloak and 2 with overcharge and it tends to copy my stealth perks over to my overcharge loadout kind of annoying makes switching on the fly a pain in the ***
Have we had any kind of dev comment on this bug yet? Cause I've got it too and it's been irritating me no end. I'd like to have a separate setup for each of the combat pursuits, but it's kinda pointless if the loadouts keep screwing up like this.
Just to add to the main issue, consequently items being "held" by loadouts makes it a pain in the arse to sell old items. They should make it so there is a double confirmation scheme so we can sell those weapons. Instead of having to manually comb each load out to make sure an item isn't equipped anywhere so we can finally see it in the sell list.
Just throwing my voice in, too, as this is about the most annoying thing with the game right now. Actually, beyond the occasional lag issues (which are phenomenally better than the first week) and sniper rifles being particularly difficult to use competitively, even in pve (the crit box is so unforgiving, I'll get two misses and someone with an AR just walks by and mows everything down), there's really nothing about this game that upsets me.
I first noticed it just a few days ago with outfits copying over. First week or so, the outfits switched fine. Didn't even notice the perks copying, but did notice the +dmg from stealth didn't seem to be working and then a friend pointed this bug out and that's indeed what was happening.
Anyway, hopefully this is being addressed as it really does make loadouts largely useless.
Same here, glad im not the only one. Very freakin annoying.
I play on the PS3 and this happened to me as well. I didn't put two and two together until I read it but it also started happening to me when I put another power into a load out that was different then the one i started with. Started with cloak, bought decoy and equipped it and now my fifth perk disappears as well as the outfit from my load out 1 getting copied to all slots. Effectively makes it so that we eitehr just use one power or no loadouts lol. Help devs!
it only happens when you have 2 power Equip
I just want to reiterate how thoroughly frustrating this issue is. I tailored my unlocks and loadouts to specific roles, and the perks are somewhat essential to that.
If the issue really only happens with 2 or more different powers, so what? I thought that was the whole point of the different loadouts?
Another one here with the same probleme... Hope they'll react on this 'bug'... ^^
I bet this thread will reach 200 posts and bug still not fix.
I too suffer from this.
However i was playing/working with loadouts flawlessly up until the second i unlocked my fourth loadout.
Now its all mashed up as previously described.
I just got the same issue. It appeared randomly; I did not unlock a new loadout or anything. Suddenly the outfit for all 3 loadouts became identical and given that it's the fastest way to differentiate between loadouts, it is very annoying.
Once more before bedtime, I urge, yes, urge someone to do something about this. Anything. At least acknowledge the issue. Please.
Just got my second power slot and sure enough I ran into this issue immediately after that and jump on here and I'm not the only one it appears, please fix this, makes load outs pointless for those who want completely different powers.
I'm almost 1100 ego, this gotta be the biggest annoying bug to date for me. Last bump for the night. Fix this!!!
- I have the same problem ! its hard 2 shift quick between the loadouts and use some plain strategy with e.c. a brute, a sniper, and a allrounder now :(
Xbox 360
I'm tentatively offering a possible workaround - at least it worked for a while for me - for the perks.
Try setting up your perks in the lobby of a PvP game. I did that, and lo an behold, afterwards I could switch between my 2 classes and the perks remained the same. I didn't do a lot of testing with it, but usually for me the perks copied immediately, with every change after setting them up then exiting the menu. After the two PvP games I played, they didn't change anymore.
I'll try your way P4 tomorrow and see what happens. Until then, last bump of the night, and if it takes 200 posts it takes 200 posts. I encourage people to please come back here and bump it with me. It's a great game, and I agree MattN, most annoying bug to date. I have 1078 EGO and it's still going. It can't be ignored forever and we'll keep on bumping till we get someone's attention. They can't ignore it forever.
Also remember to keep an eye out for threads that are of the same topic and post a link to here on them, and invite people to post here. Getting everyone together will help a lot.
Goodnight Ark Hunters
I gave up on loadouts because of this bug. please acknowledge and fix this issue
Yup still having this same issue. Very annoying. Maybe with the big patch that's coming next Mon. or Tue. they will fix this problem because right now having more than 1 loadout is just useless :(
i've had a forum thread/bug report and service desk ticket out about this from day one. I agree, apparrently we have to keep complaining before they fix this bug that never should have made it into the release to begin with. I'm glad to see it's finally picking up steam....i don't know if anyone else read the patch note, but i found the super vague "bug fixes" that appeared constantly to not only be completely worthless, but incredible irritating as well.
it's a great game, and i really love it, but i am really, really pissed off that it's been over a week since i've brought this bug to their attention, and based on how problematic it is game that is supposed to be about seamless class integration and customization, i really expected a more prompt response time from Trion about this. let's just keep bumping and hope this problem is one of those things that are included in the "bug fixes" portions of the patch notes
[QUOTE=Gabryal;245289]No news from the help desk request I put in, they haven't gotten back to me yet. I recommend however that we keep on top of this issue until we get some sort of response. Not to be a prick about it, because this is something that is relatively new. There wasn't a problem with this until one of the recent patches so something got screwed up along the way.[QUOTE]
not trying to be that guy, but actually, the bug has been in the game since release... the first thing i did day one was build from blur to cloak. the problem is, as covered, with multiple powers, but it is cross all platforms and has been in the game since it was released. biggest problem in the game, imo. just hope it doesn't stay in much longer
*edit* messed up the quote function...derp
The problem is you can not avoid this annoyance of a bug.
Here is an example. I had a 600 rating shield equipped. I got a new 827 one tonight. So now the old one is useless and taking up inventory space. So tha tmeans I have to cycle through the three other layouts to remove it just so I can sell or breakdown the old shield.
If having to unequip it form multiple loadouts was not bad enough...
I will have to redo all my perks back on my first loadout, reset my costume, etc.
Now you figure this across all your inventory slots it auto equips items and it becomes quite the nuisance.
same thing here and its real shame as it really restricts play style variety. i love this game and want to see this work.
I am also having this problem on the 360. The patch notes don't mention a fix, so we may have to wait longer.
Bump. Same problem (naturally.) This will become a big issue when the majority of players start grabbing that second main skill. Heck, there's even a challenge to "Fully upgrade Cloak, Blur, Overcharge, and Decoy Powers." However, we can't use different skills with each of our loadouts. Thus, not only are loadouts currently useless but half of the perks on the skill tree are currently useless as well since they are so situational to specific types of builds.
Bump! Having same issue with perks not staying on proper loadout. It pretty much kills the strategy and freedom of the whole Ego Power/Perk system...cant wait till they hop on this an fix....very soon hopefully
