I just got 2200 xp for standing still!!! Keep your game on while your not there!

why would anyone want to do that? Dont see the "fun" at all

man I thought this was a way to earn stuff when not playing as it is supposedly a persistent world. Not some kind of exploit.

Not really i just found this by mistake! thought it was interesting enough to share!

This happened to me too actually. But how does this work, i don't get it though -well, I won't abuse it, since i play all the time. I am never AFK.

Yeah i hear you on that one. I was waiting for the next mission to pop up on the map when it happened. I hate that after you complete a main mission sometimes it takes a while for the next one to appear.

please dont give them to many ideas on why they purchased the game in first place.

You probably passed by an event, accidentally contributed, then when someone else completed it you got your share

Yea but now the already stressed Xbox 360 servers will have hundreds of AFKs standing around to make it worse, they'll be leveling up bosses in the area to make it harder for those who are playing, its just lame man.

Understandable.. but attacking him isn't going to do much.. The info is out there nothing we can do about it.. welcome to the interwebs

You most likely are close to an event or quest someone else is doing and it counted you as helping out. This won't happen all the time.

Pretty much what I was thinking .. that's why i'm not bothered by this info to much..

Its not free, usually its because of something you did earlier that didn't get you the exp right away. As a few have said it happens if you pass through a random event that then gets completed after you have left. I've had a few occasions where I have completed something and saw no orange exp numbers fly up in the air and wondered wtf?? Where's my exp??. Then about an hr later, I see orange exp numbers fly up for doing nothing, oh there's the exp, better late than never.

All in all its not for nothing, even if you were standing in a major arkfall, the game can sometimes reward you for not even firing a single shot while in it. Maybe cause you killed some monsters that didn't belong to the arkfall but were still in the red zone.

I dont think standing still for 8hrs to get 2200 exp is a reward at all... that's like 0.04% of 1 level

I got 2200 every time it went. I dont know, maybe I was standing in the right spot!

The guy is not even away from his Xbox, is anyone sure that there inst a timeout that kicks you off if your inactive for a certain period? Plus we all know you cant stay in the game for that long anyway so all your doing is wasting power...... even if you could stay in the game, you would have to be near an area where something was going on and stand there, chances are you get killed over and over and lose scrip..... not sure I believe this works as advertised.......

I was standing still for ten minutes and this happerned 2 times! So I posted it thats all

Server will disconnect you if you do this for to long

I know a trick that will get you 2.7k ego every 2mins with no server kick

Yeah this is a great idea! It totally won't get you killed by NPCs when nobody else is there to draw their attention.

Or just get kick for server updates either way, I just thought that this was worth showing.

I can see alot of 1st gen xbox consoles getting rrod from leavening ya xbox on all day plus maybe a small house fire lol

Thank you, some people dont get it I guess. I think people think that instead of playing the game i would rather just stand there and do nothing, lol. I thought this was interesting, and All i said was instead of logging out, you can leave your system on and gain xp. thats all.
