Trion what is wrong with you?
I like Rift, and I kind of liek this game, but I have to ask myself.
Did any from Rift work on this? and by work I mean ppl actual making the game, and not just some PR front person.
Why Do I ask, as it seem every thing you learn from Rift has been forgotten.
UI, copyed UI from Rift to this woud have been better then what you current have. Other mous aiming online/mmo games have a nice little thing called mouse-toggle, you shoud look it up, so you coud have a "normal" UI and still have mouse aim. Now I dont have anything in itself against the current UI, just it does not work. Why not have all the menu tabs in top insted of dividing it up?
Why so bad hotkey system?
Chat is current a system that tell me what respawn point I am bound to, I cant use it for something els, as I have no control over it.
Cant talk to my friends, and on subject friends, why can I only add ppl that is current online?
ArkFall, I like arkfall, I dont care that they are a cheaper version of rifts from Rift, I can see them grow as the game go forward. But why no open group system? We can reviev and heal other players, but you make it so hard to see how needs help.
Physics in this game reminds me of some of the first real 3D games, with the jumping and driving, after a boost, you get to normal speed as soon as you stop boosting. it seem to make the engine sound for going faster when you are going down hill without you press W? hitting the corner of some small thing only to go staigt up in the air..... jumping is just wierd, it feels/looks like a bad mario game clone in that part.
Co-op, good idea, but compare to the dungeon/lfg system from Rift, I feel like there is missing something, and dont mean in gameplay.
Info, you give players a mission to press some object, but in real you have to kill like 40 mobs first, but you are not told, sometimes even worse, all the mobs do not spawn by themself, you have to walk somewhere to trigger the event to spawn, but sometimes that means you have to walk away from the item you hade to get to.
Mob spawning, I do like that mobs do not just spawn out of the blue, the comming out of doors, underground thing is cool. But it also brings a problem with you spawn system, as you can have clear area, so you back is free, only to have 10 mobs com out of 2 cars behind you, becouse that is how the system said is has to do, becouse you did not enter the area that way the devs meant you to do. So the whole sneak in and take out the mobs goes to hell as you kill the last mob at front gate, all other mobs spawn around you. Sometimes if feel like a on-rails-shooter, where someone forgot to tell me where the rails are.
Agree with me, flame me, whine. tell me this a new game, be a fanboy, Doesnt matter, Just me venting, and tread is forgotten in like less then 24hours.
I like a mmo pve shooter like this to do good so I can play it, I just hope Trion pulls them self together and start making this a pc game insted of a bad port game.
