Another minor change that bums me out :( MMOs evolve. Change is the only constant.

Aww trion, what the heck? :) **Disclaimer** (this is purely me conveying things Im bummed about. In no way am I asking or expecting any response or change) this game has bigger problems than the little things. Lol.

You keep changing minor things that make the game special imo. If anyone read my last thread they saw I thought rewards were nerfed/glitched as all I kept recieving were whites (so I thought). Ive figured out what has been done.

Trion keeps taking the "little things" that I feel make the game what it is and unique. It has no impact on core gameplay so its eh, but im going to miss the "pop up" notifications the way we knew them. Used to be when I opened a lockbox or claimed the daily or weekly contract reward OR got the end reward at an arkfall results screen, we would get a very colorfull "pop up" window stating what we recieved. (Top pic) Now its gone. Replaced with some flavorless white text notification on the side of the screen and in the chat window. (Same as the bottom pic below)

It doesnt signify what rarity the item is. Now I have to go into my inventory and sort by level & scroll past the favorites to check the latest item thats been added. When your inv is 400 this can get repetatively annoying.

The old pop up still happens when I claim items from claims. Im a bit baffled why they removed it from lockbox items and rewards. There are surely bigger problems to work on than messing with things that work. :(

Ok, dissapointment over. But my weekly gift videos will look rather dull now. Grrrr

Yep this change was terrible.

Im just expressin my opinion, not bi##hin at all for a change back. But im glad im not the only one unhappy about this. No matter how trivial.

Until now I still hope this "change" is a bug as this is currently my gratest issue with that horrible patch.
I really liked that on screen notification as it gave you a quick grasp of what you got. Now its really cumbersome, as OP already pointed out. :mad:

I seriously hope they change it back or make it an gameplay option to enable/disable on screen loot popups!

Ok, now im thinking its just a bug...... as its only giving the flavorless white notification on my 2 main toons. Just collected the gifts on my 2 alts and they had the colorfull text notification.

Can a mod move this to ps3 bugs and issues??

Yessir. Definately. I did read through though and there wasnt a change to notifications listed. At first i thought it was intentional and just a ninja change. But its working on some toons and not working on others. Im baffled, lol

I've got the same thing. Just white notifiers on the left of the screen. I miss the old coloured notifiers.

Same. My son and I would gather round the tv at 64 keycodes and keep our fingers crossed for an oj lol. Seriously. We're a gaming family and take these things as seriously as family games of monopoly of ol' lol. Glitch and fix or change it back for sure. Nice post.

If inventory is full, it gives the old colored text we love so much.

But if theres space in your inventory, it gives the new white notification were bummed about. Lol
Basically anything that goes TO claims or COMES FROM claims still has the colored notification

Or a way to switch between favs and non favs. Maybe 2 seperate inv screens. A tab for favs, and a tab for other

We were supposed to get nano and synergy sorting otpions. I hope the diamonds with the gun and suitcase theyve put on weapons with synergies isnt thier attempt at synergy sorting. Its not really a sort option at all, just a signification the weapon has a synergy

This really sounds like a bug to me, especially given it happens in one case but not the other. We will look into it.

Ya too much going on, they should of waited til after event.

I see nothing on screen regardless, after opening a box I have to open the inventory and hope to see things in there that weren't there before. Half the time during this event it's hard to tell as the inventory fills up fast for me, lol. It was so much better to see it pop up in the middle of the screen after you opened it.

Full inventory does not matter, I just did it with a full inventory and it showed nothing. Well weird thing is only arkforge will pop up on my screen if I happen to get it

Have 56 slots open. Just grabbed my daily gift and it only showed the little white notifier on the left. No clue that it was a purple till I checked my inventory. PS3 NA. Just happened 5 minutes ago.

Its just little things like the colored notifier that give defiance its flavor, so to speak. It is exciting seeing an orange pop when you open a lockbox or post event.

I should add when testing the full inventory vs space in inventory, I was claiming daily giftf for def few towards the weekly. Havent trested in depth with lockboxes or event rewards yet. But out of my 6 toons... 4 had full inventories and they got the colored window. And 2 had space and got the white

Seemed to be a pattern to me. But if it is a bug id imagine it could go both ways and may have been coincidence

EDIT: 4 more toons tested. All same results. In daily gifts and lockboxes and event rewards. Full inv = colored, space = white. Anything linked to claims (whether going in or coming out) now gives the old colored note. But anything going into your backpack inv. Gives the white(on the side & in chat notifications)

Havent been on yet today.

I just grabbed the present with one of my alts with a full inventory and it did in fact pop up like it used to allowing me to see it was purple.

Watching the items pop up and hoping to get an orange really is fun. I always save up my rep and then buy a bunch of supply crates I love watching 20+ items pop up. Its like a little event or show that I look forward too but just recently I bought three crates and all I saw was arkforge pop up twice. I felt kind of disappointed

Thats not too important to me though as they always showed up green anyway. But it seems this change may have veen intended if its spread to all notifications that have to do with recieving. :(

No. I had just purchased another 75 slots before trying. I'll let it get full and then report back.

Possibly worth noting, just getting to full item capacity triggered the old school method of display as well. Meaning I was at 76 items got a box that pushed me to 80, which 80 is my max and it flashed my items on screen in all their former colorful glory. This could possibly mean triggering the items full notification/unable to loot items is what triggers the old way of item reveal, not the item salvage. Xbox 360 NA

Just now the little white notifiers changed to coloured notifiers! So it's not the big one in the centre but it's coloured on the left now. Awesome.

Btw my inventory is still not full.

Ive already said this. ;) it seems to be affecting any and all recieved items whatever the means (lockbox, loot, end event rewards, daily/weekly giftf and daily weekly arkhunter rewards) basically anytime you recieve an item and it gives a "you have recieved"message.

Anything goint to claims on full inventory, or coming from claims still has the colored notifier.when theres space in inventory, its the bland white.

I tested 4 more toons last night after my initial 6 and got the same results as I previously posted when collecting daily gifts for defiant few. The results are conclusive across the board for arkfalls and events as well.

I like to do the same thing, it's a Defiance lotto of sorts! T4 boxes are just not the same without the color pop-ups.

It does it to me and also to the friend I was playing with last night. We're both on PC-NA. My account name is 3rdpig and the toon is Croaker. I don't know what my friends account name is but his toon name is Ripanewone.

Would really like this fixed, fishing around looking to see if I can figure out what I got in a 200+ inventory is less than fun.
