Friends > Loot - This is our mantra and what we have been living by for the last decade or so. GUNBAD is a guild for people who are interested mostly in the social aspect of mmorpgs, and not so much about best gear or top content.

No abusive behavior - GUNBAD has zero policy on abusive behavior.
Please keep in mind that the decision whether something is abusive or not is based not on what the individual in question thinks is abusive but rather on what people interacting with the individual feel. If you feel that it's fun to: pick on people because of their sexuality, race or religion then this is not a guild for you. On the same token if you hate any group of people based on their sexuality, race or religion then this is not a guild for you either.

No mandatory scheduled guild events - GUNBAD does not schedule events as a guild. Guild members are free to take initiative and organize their own, non-mandatory events. Contact Cryptor for assistance on creating non-mandatory guild events.
When forming groups, always request Guild member participation first and foremost
No matter the advanced class/profession requirements. When you join GUNBAD you join a family - and family always comes first.

The Cosmo-Centric Ban - When it comes to participation, if the group made up of you and your select few friends takes precedence over the larger group of Gunbad, then you are in the wrong guild. Our universe does not revolve around you.

GUNBAD is not a raiding guild - This guild does not focus, or concern itself with end-game raiding or being on the bleeding edge of content. Please, please oh please do not join us if you can't live without raiding or organized guild events.

Relax and enjoy yourself - Never take the game seriously. (See rule #1)

A : Yes, that is not a problem. However, you will not be able to have full access to our guild website or take on any leadership positions within the guild.

Petey has been with Gunbad for a couple of years now, just like many of our members.

Just as FYI you don't actually have to be 25 or older to join us. Everyone is welcome, though you can only have access to our website & rank of guild member in good standing if you are over 25.

This is probably the guild for me. While I have played many, many pvcomp RPGs and RTSs, I have never played a MMORPG (well since, 1999- It was something that I can't remember. It was pvp though, IIRC.) so this might be a good way to break me in. One thing I wonder, if later on, after I become accustomed to the game, would I be able to leave the group to go "rogue"? I guess if I did, I would get my a@@ handed to me though. Do we pay tithes? I am in the PNW and on a PC. I tend to be a night owl. Well, that's it for now. At least I am getting on early. I am on DSL so I don't know if it will run smoothly, but at least it's not satellite!!!

Oh man! You said the magic words- Tabula Rasa was a fantastic game.. definitely miss that game. I have high hopes for Defiance in being a sort of Tabula Rasa 2.0..

Either way! Would be nice to have a group to run with once Defiance gets rolling..

RexxDoom - I am not sure how this will work with servers. Our guild is a PC mmorpg guild, though if we will have the ability to play on multiple platforms on single server I am sure at least some of our guild will choose to play on a console.

Just FYI I have already pre-ordered my copy ( Ultimate PC Edition ) so you know I'll be there on day 1 ;) Looking for more casual players to join us!

Everyone is welcome to our laid back, casual bunch. Mature players only please.

Hey everyone, here is the outline on how I will run the defiance guild.

- Defiance guild I will run will not be democratic. There will be no voting. If time permits I will post threads seeking feedback, other then that I will make decisions based on information available on hand.

- There will be one Founder (me) and only one Leader for each time zone. Chances are this will result in two or three Leaders only.
*Anyone who asks to be a Leader will not get to be one, you will be asked whether you would like to be one when your time comes.
*Leaders will be chosen from volunteers and based on their competence, not any other factor.

- There will not be any age requirement on the membership.

- Everyone will be able to invite into the guild.

- Officers and higher ranks will be able to kick people out.

- Mandatory 30 day probation period for everyone who is not a Gunbad member already.

- Mandatory 30 days as member for everyone before considering promotion to Officer rank. This means no officers for the first 30 days.
*No special treatments or "exceptions to the rule".
*Anyone who asks to be an officer will not get to be one, you will be asked whether you would like to be one when your time comes.
*Maximum of two officers per time zone.

- 14 Day Officer activity timer.
*RL considerations will be taken into account & will be respected.
*You can't log in for two weeks for even a minute, pending any RL issues that will be respected, then you have no business being an officer.

- All Gunbad members who have been part of our guild in any previous game get automatic member status in-game.

- Raiding will happen, we will strive to experience all that this game has to offer. Guild organized raids will happen when we reach the point where it's doable.

- No mandatory events, raiding, or anything else. Everything on volunteer basis.

Hmmm, this is how I used to run my guild. Might be interesting to be able to set back and enjoy a game after leading a guild for the last 8 years in mmo's I'm needing a break. I think I'll be visiting your site.

This guild sounds great! The founder sounds likes he knows how to run an efficient guild. I have been mostly in "Hack and Slash" mmorpg games since Ultima Online. Mostly I have played Everquest I and II, which I still play to this day. The guilds that I have been in have all been casual, so that is what I have been used to. I usually play support classes and will help out when needed. I have already purchased my Digital Deluxe copy of Defiance and will hope the Steam D/L will not be to long. I have not seen any info on server names and woul like to know which one the guild will be joining.

There is no server information available as far as I know this is a single shard per platform set-up. Make sure you register on our guild website at http://www.gunbad.com in order to be kept up to date n what we do in Defiance. I will be keeping everyone updated there.

I signed up with Gunbad looking for a true casual guild. I'd tried others that turned out to only claim to be casual.

In Gunbad I found not only a great casual guild, but a family.

Many of us will be in Defiance and I encourage anyone looking for friendly, casual, easy going people to play with, to sign up and join the party.

Gunbad is a great group of people and a wonderful place to play without all of the stress. Kick back, relax, open your beverage of choice, and help us blow some peoples' heads off.

This looks like my kind of guild. I am really excited about Defiance and I am ready to roll.
I was hardcore with WOW in the old days but, now with 3 kids, that is not where my priorities are. I still LFR a bit and enjoy seeing everything there is in the mmo world but designated raid times and mandatory logins are not for me any more. I just want cool people in chat and a group that actual helps each other out from time to time.

9 Days until Defiance is out! :) Make sure you are all with good, solid and reputable guilds! It's going to make your Defiance experience much better!

Casual MMO gamer since EQ1 1999 for 10+ years. I fall near the end of your quoted average guild age. I am looking for a fun group of people to play with that get 80's TV and movie references. (sometimes late 70's)

Games are meant to be fun. Relaxing after work with like-minded people would be Dy-No-Mite!
