Update us if you find anything, please. This is a weird situation, I'm interested in knowing what the cause is now. lol

i think i seen this years ago back when i played FF XI happened then..... so it probably is your suspect..
You guys were right, everything is installed twice and listed as a "Saved Game" connected to each Gamertag instead of an "Installed Xbox 360 Game" accessible to everyone.
I'd really like to know why this is necessary. I'm sure it is, from a technical standpoint (since you've said the FF MMO did the same), I'm just curious.
Id like to hear why from the mouth of a developer because now it takes up double the space, as required for 10gb now it will take 20gb or more to install everything for both profiles. What about the people with limited HDD space will they be forced to either buy a bigger HDD or another console? It just seems flawed to me idk im really curious behind the reasoning.
I'm sure there's a reason behind it, even though it does seem pretty insane. Doesn't bother me personally cuz I have the 250GB HDD and I'm one of those people who starts deleting everything once I get past 50GB on it lol
I understand if you're on the older Xbox and only have about 100 or so though, goes quick.
Its completely flawed and makes no sense. The characters are saved on a server, so having to download game data to each character makes absolutely no sense. I like to console jump from my room to the family room, but I cant do that since the xbox in the family room has a very limited amount of space on it and my brother needs the space for his download. A real explanation for this would be very much appreciated, and if there is none, a patch is very much needed.
The is no log in/password etc on the 360. On a PC you connect to their servers through a username and password. Thats how it identifies what account to pull info for. On the 360 Logging into a gamer tag is in essence your log in. So the Xbox needs to attach that gamertag to a specific save file to authenticate your "copy" of the game and the email etc that that account is registered to to replicate a log in. Otherwise Trions servers wouldn't be able to identify what account info to pull up. Also on a PC when you log in under multiple accounts on an MMO you will find a folder if you look hard enough that will have all the various setting for each account user that has logged into the game from that PC. I don't believe MS or Sony give companies the right to reach back through xboxlive and write something to your HD. A patch to be downloaded is one thing, full download/upload capability to a 3rd party is totally different.
I think there is most likely a better less memory extensive way to do this. One that doesn't need to attach full install and patch files to an account. But its not a dire thing to fix so we will most likely never see it.
