I don't know if this has been suggested or though of before. I was wondering if PvP should at least be an ego level requirement. I just find it odd to see egos under 100 playing. What's the point when you have starter weapons?

I didn't think about that. Is there something you could sugges?
I used to be in agreement with this. But now I'm starting to change my opinion. When I started playing PvP I was about 3k ego and I could barely get 1 kill in. Now after so many hours of playing I got 4 kills in one match with my 300 ego character. I even got my first sniper headshother with my lower level character yesterday. It was probably luck, but experience does play a huge factor as well. There will always be players who are crazyass good and will have 30 kills but that shouldn't stop us lower level ones from trying and gaining experience/hours. Also, by playing (and being slaughtered) vs. the veterans (meaning those who have played a long time, not just ego level) I feel I learned a lot. I stress this because I never played PvP before so I'm a total noob.
PvP just needs more love in general, so more players makes me happier :) <3 <3
Konstantinov was right when he said 50 hours takes a long time. My main character on Ps3 was my first toon, created two years ago. I started running pvp with friends and clan mates while 100 to 200 ego. I got my **s kicked to say the least, but eventually I finally got a kill, then two in a row, etc. If I had waited I would probably not have gotten all pursuits done.
I didn't start until I hit 5k.Just getting 5 kills is a happy moment. I just want to help the newbies.
the thing about the low level ego players going into pvp, is that they may be in the 100 ego rating, but maybe they play just for pvp rather than pve. and lets say there is a 6000 ego player in pvp, that 100 ego player will see their ego rating show up as 6000 to match the higher ego player and they will be doing the same dmg as they would if they were a 6000 ego player.
This....kinda, a low ego player will scale up to the same Lev as highest player in a pvp match, but so will their weapon, playing at really low ego it is very important that your weapons ego matches your own or is very very close
So you and your weapon are both ego 100, and you encounter a 6000 player in pvp, your ego and your weapon will be scaled up 60x making both 6000, however if that weapon was 50 ego lower (which doesn't seem much) you have an issue, your ego level 100 x 60 = 6000, but your weapons ego 50x 60 meaning it only scaled to 3000, which may as well be a pea shooter
From what I've seen with scaling it doesn't match. My 5166 that scales up to 6000 and I've my weapons do a blip of damage sometimes. So how does a ego 100 anything? Tickle them.
I didn't think that the damage also goes up that high. I will have to log on and check this out.
Last night my 400 ego character shot a guy point blank with a bezerker at least 5x. I think the guy was laughing at me. I'm pretty sure he LET me shoot him that many times LOL He shot me once and I was d.e.a.d lol
I go in Pvp with the mentality of having fun. If I even try to be competitive I will be highly disappointed. So I laugh it off and try again.
