Extremely excited, I just hope it being an "mmo" as the rumors are painting it to be, won't end up killing this game, or any future mmo's for console. :(
What little concept art there is is very intriguing, and I'm a fan of Bungie in general so it'll be one to watch, for sure. I definitely want to find out more :)
I really doubt its MMO, Bungie is basically where Activision Blizzard challenges EA's sci-fi games, ME, Dead Space etc. Titan is gonna be Activision Blizzard's MMO.

Other tidbits from the documents reveal that the ship is called the Traveler, and the gameplay is said to be “social at its core,” set in “a world to explore with friends, both old and new”.

Last year the LA Times got its hands on Bungie's contract with Activision Blizzard. The document revealed that Destiny would launch in the autumn of 2013 initially on Xbox 360 and the next Xbox. PC and PlayStation versions seem to form some part of the plan. A new Destiny game will be released every two years after 2013, right up to 2019.
That probably means it isnt MMO? They just want to take sci-fi from EA, simple.

I cant remember where I saw them label it mmo but Im pretty sure they did. While I dont expect full mmo features , I do see it being similar to Defiance.
My bet is that it is Halo 3 exclusive to Windows 8. Microsoft had their Halo exclusive on Windows Vista when it short selled. Now, it's Windows 8's turn. I have windows 8 btw, it's great!

Hmm so it seems IGN basically confirmed it's an mmo in their live stream. They also said it's part Halo, Borderlands, and Planetside 2.

It looks like console only to release... hm... a bit frustrating to see, the PC-Version is more far away now. But maybe itīs a revival for my 360^^
Bungie never said MMO; its being called a "shared shooter". It seems the game will have MMO elements but the core seems to be like Borderlands meets Halo. From the footage we've seen its a FPS but I read that you will be in 3rd person view in the major city and when using vehicles.Quote:

From what I can assume And have heard City will have a large social aspect to it with a prob. High player count involved
Story is obvious
Faction Wars will most likely be VS
Raids sounds like large player Coop
Funny how they wait til Defiance is a big deal to announce all this, typical CoD/Halo Devs trying to steal the limelight.
I even seen someone online comment that Defiance copied Destiny...
