unfortunatly people get viruses all the time, in the US alone an average of over 16,000,000 people get nasty viruses pur year.
the average life span of a ps3 (with average usage) is 8-10 years, current statstics have it at around 5% have failed...
as for simpility most people wouldnt know the difference between a d-sub and a dvi, let alone how to hook it up to a tv.
ours is the curse of knowldge. there is a way out of every con i have listed. but i wouldnt class us as the average pc user, or even in the majority of people who will buy games. the majority of people simply would be better off with a console.
as i said its about whats best suited for the person and the majority simply wouldnt know this stuff.
I was mentioning my windows 3.1 computer for the fact the a PC's lasts way longer than a console does. And yes my tablet runs defiance on it just fine at those setting with the FPS bordering on 30.Quote:

thankfully they dont otherwise id be out of the job :) for alot of people pc's are just a tool/gadget like your car, they get you to where you want to be but most people still dont know how to change an air filter. i had a customer the other day whos son loves playing BF, COD and GW2, guess why they called us out? because they had an upgraded router (to play his games) they wanted to fit. it wasnt even adsl...
i mean i agree with everything youve said about work outs to the cons i stated, most of my friends would know most of this stuff. but thats because of the circle i run in. how ever alot of people wouldnt and couldnt be bothered to. why have a sports car that needs constant servicing when the family estate still gets you about. for those i would say console over pc.
for example i was playing gw2 a few weeks back and a guy in my guild (most know im a techie) seriously started going nuts because his mouse had stoped working and was paniced... it turned out he had to change the batterys.

it’s not important why you mentioned your windows 3.1 pc here. it’s important that you argued hard in another thread pro pc with the argument EVERY PC CAN RUN DEFIANCE and you own one that can’t.
i stoped playing on pc in 91 cause nothing can get me faster in rage then a not properly working pc and i had enough of "changing the airfilters" myself.
for sure an actual gaming pc can run the same game with higher resolution, better graphics and smoother (more fps)
but i prefer to turn on, insert disc, play game instead of caring about hard- and software. guess what ... i never had any soft-/hardwareconflicts with any console
it's not the question "what is the best plattform to play it?"
the correct question is "what is the best plattform FOR YOU to play it?"
for me it’s console and for you it’s pc. no problem for me. but you seem independent of the threadtheme to be on a mission to convert the unfaithfull consolegamers

Ok well I guess I forgot to add computer after console came out can run defiance considering it's not a demanding game so about 05 or later. And what do you mean air filter? I don't think I have ever had air filter on my computer besides the metal mesh in front of the fans, but on that note anything with fans get dusty and need to be cleaned that's not a PC only thing consoles should be blow out with a can of air to. And if the last time you played PC with in 91 than you should diffidently try it again because things have changed a ton since then I can't remember exactly how games where back in '95 when I started playing PC but I have never had any hardware or software conflicts not even in "crappy" win vista. I have had games crash on me but they crash the same on consoles, look at fallout 3 and new Vegas I always read complaints from them about there games crashing and in some cases they crashed more on consoles than on PC mainly because lots of games crash due to not enough ram, that's why on PC they made the 4gb patch.
FYI Most of my posts are not mainly on PRO pc threads I have posted quite a bit on a lot of threads here and on the beta forums.
@Elder What's so bad about fanboys? Yes I'm a PC fanboy and proud of it fanboys like me are just people in love with technology. That and most of my life is on a computer. lol
