Why did you choose your name?

So, I was watching my BF play earlier and he got a clan invite from a guy, Jefferey Burns, and it got me thinking.. why did he choose that name? Did you choose your name because of a character, something you made up, or is it your real name even? Just curious if anyone had any sort of reason as to why they chose to name their character what they did.

I chose to name my Character Kittea for example because I've always loved the name Kitty for a girl, not to mention, I'm cat crazy, so I chose Kittea because when you say it out loud, it's Kitty. Get it? Kit-tea! lol. Any reason why your name is special?

My main character is named Azoryn and that's been around for... god, since maybe vanilla WoW. I just liked the letters A and Z and wanted something that sorta kicked.
Cynical_Dementia was from trying to find a new steam name, so I just randomly started throwing words together to see what worked.

Lol, that's how about 90% of my usernames are made. Throwing random words together, or using some long word from the dictionary.

Azoryn is a nice name though. I've seen a lot of cool names with A and Z together.

Yeah I think most of my alts are named something like... Azlinn, Azyrn, Zander... Something with Z and A.

My name white nex was a random side thought cause spooky was to inappropriate for the game. Nex is Latin for a violent death

I think my favorite 'Az' name is still Azalea from the show Orphen. I really like the way it rolls off the tongue.
I generally have a liking to names with M or K. I named my PSN Prince Kiyo from a story I was working on... a choice I regret to this day.

"Why is your name Prince if you're a girl?"
"Shouldn't you be a princess instead of a Prince?"

Spooky was inappropriate? I feel like this is PSO where you can't even type fat without it censoring it out. lmao.

I personally try to use the same username for everything so I've had this one for a few years now. When I first choose this one it was the only one of my OTP's that wasn't already taken.

Well, my in game character's name is Colby Watson. With Defiance being somewhat of a "sci-fi western", like Firefly, I wanted to come up with a name that fit. And that's exactly what I did. :)

A long time ago I needed a name for the character you can see in my signature. He's changed a great deal from his initial concept but the name seemed to stick, eventually becoming my online alias/identity, as he was intended as an avatar in the first place.

I've heard some interesting attempts to pronounce it over the years, particularly over headsets when online.
