Advice for Overcharge build (with smg/sniper)

Hi ! I'm...fairly new to the game but enjoying it. I'm starting to think about a build, done some research, tried few perk, what i love, what i don't... and i came with something like that (ofc i can't equip all perk for now but it's gonna be for later). It's for PvE.

EGO overcharge - Loadout on Defiance Data

1 - I'm not full sure if Hunter stance combine with Gunslinger
2 - I'm aware Gunslinger is not the best choice when using a sniper rifle but i'm mainly using the SMG. And if you insist, i prefer replacing Gunslinger than the sniper (I love the setup SMG - sniper actually)

Well...since my build come from defiancedata builder, you can guess I already checked build here :D But I havn't found something...interesting for my loadout so i'm trying to make something more personal.

Since you're sporting the smg you'll need to get in close at times so some defense would be helpful:

(Rear guard, Fortitude, Regeneration, Thick skinned, hunker down (combined with Hunter stance) are all good

Also due to smg, you'll want some damage perks:

For sniping you'll want some crit:

If you have Janos on your weapons you'll want to look into getting a perm or two for those as well. Hope this helps.

since your ego is only 600ish it may be easier if we know what you've unlocked so far

I find Killing Spree to be invaluable in most of my builds since it reliably extends the duration of the EGO power as long as you keep killing. This is especially nice with Overcharge since that boosts your damage, but I find it to be useful with the other powers as well. Bloodlust is nice to recharge the power once it's depleted, but I find it to be less valuable due to the cooldown so I don't normally use it...

If you're going to use Gunslinger with SMGs, you may also want to take Nerves of Steel, since that will help increase critical damage... the enemies will almost always be moving towards you, so it's a very reliable option (assuming it's not bugged and I just don't know about it ofc...). No idea if Gunslinger stacks with hunter's stance though...

Well...My build have Skill duration boost, crit boost and def. I've looked for the "damage" perk but I they doesn't seem to fit very well. I'm also gonna add Nerve of steel to my build, for moar crit damage.

Yup ! Nerv of Steel seem epic and, since i'm essentially playing solo, I guess it's a good pick. Maybe instead of a def perk since i got 3 of them ? And for Bloodlust I've seen it too but I don't know, I'm hesitating x)

I only recommend Bloodlust if you have extra space or maybe if you want to swap it for something for a specific mission... the cooldown really does limit its value IMO.

Defensive perks are nice, but keep in mind that explosions are almost always 1 hit kills anyway, so they aren't invaluable... it really depends on the power of your shield, the enemies you are fighting, threat level, and the defensive perk in question. I use Cellular Armor, Regeneration, and Escape Artist in every build as my 3 defensive perks, and since they carried me all the way to ~5300 EGO I'd recommend them as all around useful powers. But of course, how valuable these are will depend on your play style.

I think MrDr has it spot on for you. Good advice to take. My advice would be to eventually look into an SMG + Detonator and see how you like that for one of your loadouts. If you get a Detonator with velocity its just about good enough to snipe with lol.

at 600 ego you can only use like 4 perk slots. If we knew which ones you had available to equip it would make recommendations easier. Theres no point in recommending a perk that the other side of the ego grid.

There no point in "reroll" or respec it can cause you to not be able to complete your ego grid
