How do you take Screenshots in Defiance?

The title says it all. Please leave comments if you know how to screenshots in game, or any otherways to screenshots the game. Thanks a lot.

I believe it's only possible by using a third party screenshot application, like FRAPS. I simply can't understand how a screenshot function can't be built into the game. I guess if it didn't benefit a console in some way, it didn't get put in.

Thanks for the replay. It is pretty lame for a $60 PC game that doesn't even have screenshot function build in. Hopefully they will improve on that in the next patch if they can fit it in with all the bug fixes.

This is incorrect. Go into your Video Options and turn Fullscreen off. You can now take screenshots with Print Screen. It doesn't work in full screen, it's like this way for a lot of games and has nothing to do with consoles.

Actually, he's right. What you're actually doing is taking a screenshot of your desktop with the game up when you run it in window mode. It requires you to open up paint or photoshop and paste it into there and save as a new image file. Where as a proper PC game has this function built in where you can just hit the print screen button and it automatically saves the image in the default screenshot directory or the install directory. When a PC game doesn't have a built in screenshot function, it's due to console porting. Hence either using fraps or steam to take screenshots because trion decided to leave that function out.

Well, someone already explained things to you above. Just thought it was funny that you even went there with such seriousness and conviction. :)

And it's strange, because they release screenshots during development. And maybe they were all just using 3rd party applications like FRAPS to do it, but I am seriously struggling to believe that nobody from marketing or the development team coaxed a programmer to include an in-game screenshot function all this time. I have an easier time believing it was disabled for public use and never turned on after the NDA was lifted.
