To be clear, I didn't have a problem with an area of the game world being super hard. My beef was with the game sending low EGO players into that area to complete their basic stuff like daily/weekly contracts and low level story missions.
If they either removed contracts and low level missions from SV locations, or instituted a better more complex system that detected your level and opened up contracts locations in SV once you got to say EGO 5000, that would have been great.
That's why I believe all areas should have static minimum Threat Levels. At that point, it doesn't matter what EGO the player is because the game just scales you up if you're too low. When you set foot onto a land mass and the minimum TL is 10, you may want to rethink that. I also think that players should be scaled higher than 5250.
In regards to contracts, there's nothing wrong with content designed for a certain EGO but still open to whoever shows up. Chimera is a good example of that, it's pretty much enter at your own risk. When you're having trouble with content while alone, you get help or come back later. If players are expecting to be able to complete every contract offered to them just for making it out to Tranquility Road, they're gonna have a bad time. Guild Wars 2 has a Daily system in which it gives you objectives based on the maximum level character on your account. On the other hand, Guild Wars 2 doesn't boost your level if you go somewhere you shouldn't be, it does quite the opposite.
:p Good to know. I stopped playing soon after Silicon Valley was released. And started playing again bit last week and had really hard time with some season 2 missions with my 2300 ego. And I don't wanna start next season before I've done previous one.
By they way any suggestions on season 3 in which order to watch episodes and play missions?
Can we please get some elite conquers at the SV hellbug Arkfalls?
