How do you guys think we'll travel around the world of defiance.
Will we have to go to the hubs to find random quest?
Will there be fast travel?
How big do you think the world will be?
Will you have to go to a center to trade with others?
Will there be markets that sell different items than others?
Will it have seasonal change?
Discuss what you think the world will be like when the game comes out :).
Well, from what I've read here in the forums and seen on the trailers: All new players start with a customizable ATV, which seems fairly sweet. I've also heard there are some game mode specific vehicles like a transport that acts as a mobile spawn area and some larger military vehicles. I don't know how large the world is as of yet and I think due t the NDA we won't be getting a estimate until it lifts. I'd assume there will be vendors you can trade with at towns, I've read that in PVP you in credits to which ever faction your working for per successful match which in turn can be used to buy faction specific gear.
Hmm, sounds pretty sweet so far, another big question is how the VOIP will work on consoles, whether it will be limited to your group or the people around you.
Without breaking the NDA, the world is big, one of the biggest I've seen. Because its an mmo and has a TV series with the game, they are probably going to make the world bigger through expansions. Most mmo's do that in expansions and this can happen many years after game release. I've seen that in Planetside 1 and other mmo's
Basically its one open wide world. Nothing like most games, zones are linear, what you run through, basically if you want to can drive straight to anywhere you want. Yeah, this game is like Skyrim. Story itself is linear and takes you everywhere around the world. Also when you get good char, you need to go everywhere, you never know where that Alien **** drops, thats how we get our fame and glory and loot of course, also Shadow PVP hotspots can appear anywhere. Basically endgame is the whole world.

This has been asked many times, one of the live streams showed a point on the map at being over 1km away. Obvisouly making the game as big as the real Bay Area would be too hard so we can assume its scaled back a bit. But the world was so large that they needed to put in vehicles.
All we know is that you can trade with others, so assume that you can do that anywhere.
There is a market but I'm not sure whether players can post things there.
We have a day night cycle but no word on any changes. Remember though that the terraforming may have changed the climate completely to what the Bay Area usually gets, hell it turned Antarctica into a tropical paradise.
This is little bit of off-topic but as far I know theres isntaned PVP and PVE too, I think those should be something what player can drank up the difficult level and make them more challenging etc, maybe even somekind of risk and reward style content. Factions are probably somekind of quest/solo grind..
