About Extra Life "HALO" and other injustices

Hello. I'm an arkhunter, like anyone else. I've played Extra Life for hours on end, more than 24 hours in total, and have PHASE HOPPED all event, nonstop. I can safely say that I've done more than 10 Major EXL arkfalls and more than 25 minors.

Nonetheless, my only purpose for being in this event, the most idiotic thing and simplest of all did not drop: the Halo. Seeing players for a whole year wearing it, suffering the wait until EXL to get said headgear, and once it's here: boom. Nothing.

SO what I am asking to any devs that may read this: PLEASE grant the Halo to any players that were a certain amount of time logged into the game. It's a terrible feeling not to have it, plus the arkfall spawn rates were not enough to get anything, and we had to suffer an event without the Dealer in half of it (if it was planned to be a one day event, then it should have been done that way, it's not our fault). Also, if there is an EXL 2016, please make sure to inform players more ACCURATELY. We don't know what exactly means "Get a chance at the Halo headgear". Some thought it'd be given to them automatically after the event. Oh, and others were too afraid to use the EXL Dealer because of 2013 exploit bans (which had nothing to do with this event). I'll send a ticket with the same petition. If anyone else reads this, voice your opinions below and tell everyone what you think about this idea.

I don't think the Halo dropped at all this year. It was bugged last time and they ended up awarding them to everyone afterwards. They reran the exact same event without fixing any of the known issues. Like the vender.

I can confirm that it dropped. One of my Clanmates got it after a Minor.

I too played for 24+ hours and didn't get the halo! Kept waiting for even the event titles and never got those either. If there is something I need to do it would be nice. With the mass amount of players who were phase hopping and playing the exl events, I know it was hard to get a high score. But nonetheless I put valiant effort into getting that halo to no avail. Let me know if you get and response from trion

I dont normally side with the "entitled" but, on this occasion, i think it would good of trion to do the same as what they did last year with the halo.

It was a charity event after all...

When I first got this game I had to wait 25+ hours to complete all the updates and theres still bugs wtf?

Giving the lack of el majors and the glitched dealer who knows really, Trion might give out halos along with the titles they might not time will tell

The titles don't appear straight away they're given after event ends and the amount of hours you've played are tallyed up

I agree with this. I was in the event for almost all of it's duration stopping only once for 6 hours. The lack of events and the further lack of the Halo is quite disappointing given how they were dispensed last year.

The game is constantly changing and being updated. Bugs slip through that wasn't caught on PTS. Usually those bugs get fixed. However, this event was in year 3 and old bugs still existed.

As far as taking 25+ hours to update and patch in that's insane and soundalike something was bogging down your connection. I downloaded, installed and patched in the entire game in about an hour on console and about the same on PC.

I got like 10 laptops connected and my internet speed is 2 mbps my parents like to get internet for as cheap as possible so Ima get a job and pay for actual good internet.

Plot Twist: Same thing happened last year. Expect a halo in your claims at somepoint for playing a certain amount of time.

(If it counts, I saw a few people in chat claim to get one. But I'm also on pc. Console EXL was close to non-existent.)

why do ppl want this halo so bad? i got it last year and never even used it once! trion just give Ivory a halo pls, if possible remove it from my inventory while your at it. xD

Haha dang, why is everyone makin such a big deal about a halo, its not like u donated hundreds of dollars or the halo even give u +1 stats..... just buy n wear wat evers in the vendor.....no oness gonnna stop wat theyre doin and say" hey look at that guy, he must be good cause he has a halo!".

When I first started playing I thought you had to be friendly to get the halo lol.

I put in 24 hours+ and did many, many exl majors and minors and didn't get a halo. I would like to know if this was a bug.

I also heard that people got one from a drop, but not sure if it had to do with WHEN they were playing. I couldn't play during the bulk of Saturday as I had real life obligations, and I was also social glitched for about 5-6 hours where I couldn't TP or chat with anyone effectively.

If we want it and did everything in our power to obtain it, we should get it. Unless we're very unlucky, but the case here was mostly an arkfall spawn rate issue. IF it was a pure RnG issue, and I had went through 100 Majors without getting the headgear, I wouldn't be creating this Thread because I was given the real chance of getting it (Although, in that scenario, I'd be smashing my controller against my PS3 continuously)

If you want MY reason for getting it: 1st, I love to be a collectionist from a F2P perspective, I'll get every item/pursuit done that I can get. 2nd and most important, it's one if not the ONLY headgears that do not cover your forehead. I like that for a specific character!

Guys... remember, fashion is number 1

I agree completely with the OP, this event was pretty broken. Players who where logged in the game during the event deserve a Halo! I played this event just to get one, but the arkfalls spawn rate where TERRIBLE, not to mentions the times I got critted out etc...

The description was very clear. Participate in the event and have a "CHANCE" at obtaining the halo headgear. Not the right!

When you initially posted, I let it slide. Even sided with you, as last years event was so fubar that they relented and gave those that participated, the halo.

With this last post, and for others that feel the same as you, I hope they don't give them away this time.

During my first year and a half of playing this game, I never saw the level of entitlement the later players show. It's disgusting.

You played. You had the same chance as everyone at each instance. RNG didn't fall your way. Get over it.

If, I didn't get it, then I didn't get it.

I would like there to be a thread like this to make devs aware, so they can check into the drop rates or if it was bugged. Seeing as how just about every patch/event ends up with some kind of bug/glitch, like in all games.

I just want to make sure I got the chance to get it like everyone else.

It did drop. I know a few ppl that got it.

The problem wasn't the Halo drop. It was the lackluster spawn rate of the event arkfalls that rewarded them. They have already given their excuse as to why it wasn't occurring more. Whether I agree or disagree with the reasoning, isn't at debate.

But, to claim it is "owed" or a "right" is plain sickening...

Since the EXL event was basically the same has the previous years (bugs an all) they might as well give halo's to everyone who played the game during the EXL event. Especially since they did that last year. If they had fixed the event this year perhaps added new synergy like they did for the other events then I would be inclined to say no halo's awarded unless RNG rewarded you with one. However it was obvious that the vendor was bugged and the spawn rate of the majors was simply terrible and the reward loot table appeared to be the same as last years loot table (mostly greens and blues and non event items, new loot tables for events we see more blues and events related items) I'm more inclined to believe the bug that happened last year for the halo most likely happened this year too.

-edit to add - I got my halo last year so this year I couldn't tell if they had dropped or not, some people state it did so maybe they patched that. But yea with the terribly low spawn rate of majors it was almost impossible to get one.

I know people that got it during this event, I say give it to people that logged 24 hours during the event because they probably at least tried to get it legit.

The event lends to the cause. It isn't the cause.

I would offer this suggestion to Trion, make the vendor offer stuff for bits and take those bit and donate them to the charity. Let people buy halos and outfits and support the kids. Keep the event as is (fix the spawn and duration rate), but let players play for money that goes to the kids.

Or just put the halo in the vendor for Say 250k. I don't think that would be so bad. I'd buy it. I didn't get one this year, but really, that's not a big deal, sure I wanted one, but I also wanted gear etc. We don't get all we want, anybody who plays this game should've realized that before entering into an arkfall.

Taking this on a more serious context, I've read a lot of your posts on the forums up 'till now Aingeal, and I've got lots of respect for you, it's evident that you're a vet with knowledge.

I agree with your statement and I stand corrected, so I'll just add as an excuse that English isn't my first language and shield myself, blahblahblah. What I meant to say is: since the arkfalls did not spawn, I kindly would like to ask Trion to give Halos away to players that played x amount of time in the event. I'll edit my post now, never meant to say it was our "right" to have them, RnG taught me that (but at least give us the CHANCE to TRY...).

If I wasn't broke I'd donate a couple bucks but that's also why I'm playing a F2P game.

I think all players that ither donated or played for 24 hours should get the halo no matter what.plus I think the vendor getting pulled is total ********.I didn't cheat the system at all but I have to pay the price? unacceptable in my opinion.like one said its an all day event ..It should be an all day event..go back later and punish the ones cheating NOT make everyone pay.

although it's not alot by most's standards, it would be better to regulate it by time played during the event.

24 hours playd for a halo feels like you earned it, 500k to a noob feels like they had to grind it.

i dont think it's too much to ask since the headgear seemed to have the same chance as the other events but running for only a fraction of what those events last.
its not like people a asking for a free WW darkest hour just for showing up...

I myself, couldn't donate, but I told my family and friends about it, getting the word out there is half the battle. I did put in the 24 hours (I hope, as there was no way to tell).

My father and his brother were both saved multiple times by A children's hospital when they were kids. They both had/have hemophilia, A rare disease that prevents their blood from clotting when injured.
