Vehicle despawn timer change

I find the change in vehicle despawn timer from 20 -> 10 seconds a bit annoying.
20 seconds was enough time to pick up a mission or turn items in at a drop location without the vehicle despawning, 10 seconds is not.

If I understand it correctly, the change was done to clear arkfall areas of vehicles?
If that is the case, a much better solution would be to have auto-despawn on a small area around the Arkfalls. The current change impacts the flow of other parts of the game.
