    [GUIDE] Nano Effect Symbols
So far this is what many others and myself have figured out in terms of the effects and what the symbols look like.

    Toxicity
    http://s13.postimg.org/59m8c5zw7/Toxicity.png
EFFECT: Increases damage done to the affected target by 20%

    Electrical
    http://s10.postimg.org/gq031lkd5/Electric.png
EFFECT: Stuns target and enemies near target, also shorts out HUD.

    Incendiary
    http://s22.postimg.org/s1n9syhcx/Incendiary.png
EFFECT: Burns the enemy, dealing damage over time. Also, causes NPC's to panic.

    Biological
    http://s12.postimg.org/w31siqlh9/Biological.png
EFFECT: Slows enemies movement and decreases their damage dealt.

    Radiation
    http://s16.postimg.org/pgzw831hx/Radiation.png
EFFECT: Makes target vulnerable and increases the damage they take.

    Syphon
    http://s21.postimg.org/6dez99d1z/Syphon.png
EFFECT: When the effect is triggered, it will heal the players HP, or shield should the player have max HP. When the effect occurs you will hear a sound and a few seconds later around ~450 damage will be applied to the target and you will be healed.

    ---------------------------------------------

    Useful Info:
Quick FYI, you can use roll/dodge when you are suffering a nano effect to remove it early. Works on goo, electric, fire, etc. Stop, Drop, and Roll! - EmptyOwl

**If anyone has any corrections please feel free to post and I will make the necessary adjustments.

Nice guide. You could add that burning NPCs have a chance of panicking.

Wow. i'm ego 500 and i've never come across a corrosion weapon. I figured corrosion/radiation was one in the same?

EGO 389 here and I've never seen one in-game either, but I know I've seen one in a screenshot somewhere else on this forum... Still not sure of its effect, though.

I wondered what Syphon was - found it as a bonus protection on a shield, so I guess that makes it more intended for PVP than PVE.

Handy to know what each effect is.

Yeah I just saw the corrosion weapon in the vendor randomly, I thought it was rare so I took a screen shot and made this guide.

I found a mod that had the corrosive modifier, so I could have slapped it in a weapon and tested it out. Didn't think about it at the time though.

Dang, Oh well we'll find info on it eventually, I couldn't buy the one in the vendor because it was a reputation item. I didn't have enough points for it.

Ok I updated the guide to mention that, If that's wrong I would hope a mod or something could correct it.

That one, u got marked as syphon can recharge shield (not sure about health, maybe recharge shield when health is full). Also it works on proc, not a kill.

Ok, thank you for clearing this up.

Syphon adds damage and heals a player on proc. At least so far that I have seen. Not sure how the damage is calculated on it, but it is based on your weapons damage in some way. The most common number I see from it is about 450 damage off my shotgun that i have with it. Though it seems to apply the proc, then it triggers a second or so after, you will hear a sound when it does. When it triggers it will heal the players HP, or shield should the player have max HP. Again, no clue on how much it heals, just know it does.

Changed it a little bit, people are telling me different things for syphon and I'm not entirely sure what it does anymore.

May just be me, but Electrical seems to do more damage against 99ers.

I think 99ers just die quick because they have shields, When you get rid of the shields they have lower hp then the other npcs in the game. My Syphon guns seemed to have the same effect on 99ers in that they seemed to die quicker.

Why stop? I keep moving while I roll continually. I have Roll bound to a side game mouse button. Using Roll along with a Respark shield lets me get my HP back up in most cases. If I've toggled Sprint then I am still in Sprint after the roll. I can even roll my way through a whole gang of mobs in an open area and watch my shield and health regen while they all run after me until I finally get most of them off me and then I fight what few are still following me and then return to go after the rest of them. If I have room to maneuver only 1-shot damage gets to me.

With Rocket Launchers, use the R key to detonate them.

Your minimap doesn't always show when you've taken out a marked objective but your big map does. You can then rclick on the big map and put a waypoint on your next objective to take out so it and pathing shows on the minimap. I forget the name of the quest but I used that technique yesterday when I had to bomb 3 trucks at an encampment across the street a ways from Iron Demon Ranch. I went up on the hill to the left of the encampment entrance, and would wait until they all went into a short "meeting" in a rear building near one of the trucks, and then jump down and take out a truck (or just get impatient and try to do it and end up rolling my way out of the encampment with a ton of mobs on me so I could go back and try it again). Worked good solo!

    The joke, you missed it.

Also, holy crap man, I've never seen someone reminisce about rolling like that before. That's half a novel you wrote there. ;)

Oh haha! I thought you meant to actually stop before rolling. It would make sense if trying to roll and move at same time but by only using the keyboard, is why I mentioned the mouse button. I did go on about rolling, mostly in agreement with your point but also because I see almost no one at all ever using it. Amazing, really. The last paragraph mentioning it was a separate tip about doing a certain quest, how it and the big vs mini maps and waypoints and tactics helped do it solo (rambo didn't work for me there!) I was trying to add several different tips in one post to help the topic along. Sorry if I bored you with a 15 printed lines tl;dr novel.

thing is. Once your ego reachs that level you find weapons that level never higher and never to much lower.

Saw a Corrsion Pistol earlier today in a shop. Couldn't afford it, but just putting it out there, so it does still exist? Maybe only currently available at higher EGO levels.

The picture still exists, but the effect does not... that weapon will work like radiation.

I've gotten a couple mods now that apply "Toxic" damage to weapons using that old symbol. Since its not named corrosive and not part of a preset item in the faction vendors I have to wonder. Also, the sound effect for shooting one doesn't match the radioactive sound.

Also Syphon - when it triggers, it applies a delayed damage effect to the target. IE shoot somebody, it triggers, a couple seconds later it deals a couple hundred damage, around 490 or so. If the damage has time to act, you get healed for that amount, goes to shields if your HP is full.

If the target dies before the damage ticks you don't always seem to get your health back.

Tried the Corrosion clip mod and the nano effect proc'ed 1 out for 300 hits or so but when it did its effect was a dot like effect very short duration.

and yes, as soon as it proc's i try to stop to see what it does.

Hmm I would say try to see if it has the same effects as radiation, Also maybe the clips are still left over and not suppose to be in the game anymore. You could be doing nano effects that you aren't suppose to be able to do lol. Who knows, Some dev clarification would be nice.
