From what ive seen some guns cant have mods. There are 4 slots and when you look at the gun there should be 4 rectangles either with a dash or a mod symbol. if it has a dash then you cant add a mod if there is a symbol you can only add that kind of mod. im EGO 141 and have an option in the matrix to add mod slots. try doing that o and like i said some guns dont have any rectangle mod slots so they cant have mods hope this helps.
Wrong. Any weapon but a bugged one can have mod slots added to it. You select the weapon to mod it cant be equiped. Add mods slot to it then. But you have to select it to modify first then pick the other. I have several weapons that didnt have mods or mod slots on it when I have added 4 to. and im ego 649.
That would explain a lot. I was starting to think that only certain weapons would even allow you to add a slot for modification as it seems that it's a 70% chance I can't even add a slot to a weapon I find. So just to clarify, I SHOULD be able to add a slot to any weapon? Not the mod itself mind you, but the actual slot so that I can attach said mod should be able to be added to any weapon? If that's true then I hope that gets fixed soon because I've passed on so many good weapons because I couldn't add the mod I wanted to it.
(sorry for being redundant, but I like to be sure in what I know)
*Edited to add a Thank you to Jardian below for the response. Much oblige!
Yes you should be able to add 4 mods slots to every weapon. Even the preorder weapons we got from like best buy game stop and so on came with no mod slots. I have added 4 slots to mine.
Just a note it can cost diffrent ammounts though I have done some as much as 6k resources for adding the first slot.
can you remove mods once added? If so, I'm doing it wrong. I tried to mod a gun just to see if I liked the mod, ended up hating the mod and lost a great gun because I could not remove the mod. Dam. ego 378
YOu can remove the mod that destroys the mod. Or retrieve the mod that destroys the gun and keeps the mod.
Yeah just a guess here but here is a hint. As you get more load outs it auto fills them and can be a bit buggy about it. WHen your weapon is in a load out it wont let you mod it break it down anything. Because I havent has a problem modding any weapon ingame as of yet. I just know other people have with a gun or two later in levels.
