I actually have and I got good link karma from someone. I can see my post on my profile, but not in the subreddit itself though. I am new to reddit and a bit baffled...Anyway, I have gotten a good amount of responses and I need to close the survey in a couple of days anyway.

You may want to post a thread on the General Discussion forum with a link to here.
Many people don't come to off topic so may be unaware of this thread.
It's worth a try and the worst that could happen is that a mod would close or move that thread to off topic or close it due to duplication.
You could try messaging a mod by asking a question in the report window of the opening post.
It can't hurt.
