What I have found funniest the last few days, is how some of you PC snobs actually think you're cool or something, or better than others somehow, because you're oh so familiar with MMO failures. I mean, I can almost see you now going into a popular bar/club on a Friday night: "Hey baby, you know you want me. You know you wanna get with me. I'm MMO king don'tcha know? Yeah baby, that's right. I'm dreammmmmy"... rofl

It's not 3 AM where they are. Trion is based in California hence them using Pacific Time as their standard. The nature of MMO's and server based games is that they employ people to work 24/7 for the most part for these issues. It's not like they are doing us all a favour, it's all budgeted for.

    Server Downtime:
    Date: April 6th, 2013
    Time: 8:10pm
    Downtime: 30 minutes

Here's an idea, how about you guys fix the chat system so we can actually SEE when the server is going to go down rather than having us find out in the middle of a mission by it just dropping our connection. Here's another thought, stop fixing just one thing at a time and dropping the server several times a day, how about fixing multiple issues and then drop the server down once a day. -.-

Did you read the ToS? You actually don't have a right to complain.

It's like saying to someone who buys a new car, just to have it break down three times a day every day, that when they can make a car that doesn't break down that then they have a right to complain. See? Sounds moronic don't it.

We have a right to complain, period. Every day there are multiple 30 minute interruptions. It's ridiculous already. If the game wasn't ready for prime time then it shouldn't have been released until it was. It's as simple as that.

Some of us only have so much time we can allocate to play. We don't want it all eaten up by constant server updates and patches. So yes, we have a right to complain and a right to be frustrated. It's completely rational to be frustrated at this game so far. Doesn't mean that ultimately it won't become completely stable and we won't grow to love it for much time to come. Just that right now, as it stands, the experience has been a frustrating one more than worthy of complaint.

I mean, so you're not frustrated. Yay for you. Here's a scooby snack for ya. But that opinion is your own, and the only one violating rights is you thinking you have the right to ascribe your feelings onto everyone else, as if they're wrong simply for not standing on you side. Pretty narrow minded thinking there...

Here's what I think he was getting at: Name ONE MMO that has launched ever...without any bugs or patches the first week. I don't think you can. I've been at a lot of MMO lauches, starting with EQ back in 1998. I would rank Defiance as slightly above average in the launch "roughness". WoW was practically unplayable the first week after launch, and don't even get me started on SWG....

I agree Guild Wars 2 had little to no hiccups aside from the Black Lion Trading Company being down for a bit. Also yeah I also played Rift and it wasn't to bad at all honestly.

I cringed a bit when I read 'emergency' in the OP. Last time, my character was rolled back but in this particular case, I haven't been on for the last couple of hours (5 or so) so I'm hoping if it does happen, I'm good/unaffected.

Emergency patch because people can't log in and are getting DCed...ya, they totally should have waited.
